Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all. Hope you had a day filled with
Lđź’–VE!

Today I am sharing another tag for my 'spring is in the air challenge' at Tag Tuesday. I used the same masterboard for the background as for the first 2 tags. The garden chair is a stamp from Catherine Moore. I added in some flowers with a brush-pen. The bunny is having fun sitting on the chair and talking to the birds:

And I have another digital page for Elizabeth's hearts challenge at AJJ, using elements from Mischief Circus, Serif and me. I am also linking to TIOT, share the love:

We have had lots of rain these past days, and the Rhine is filling up again, but I hope it won't get as full as it was last week. We have another big storm forecasted for Sunday, although it's not supposed to be as bad as last week - we shall see! But cloudy skies make for very atmospheric photos - here some sunrise pics:

I have bought some daffodils in pots to add to my window bank, and they are growing very rapidly. The clivia was reduced to 2€ at the garden department by IKEA, as it was very dry and sad looking. I have given it some TLC and now it is starting to bloom:

And I bought myself some new cushions in petrol and yellow to brighten up my living room:

I have tried to get in an evening walk as well each day:

And the neighbour's cherry tree is blooming:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Rain's Thursday Art Date - love

Hi Everybody!

Another week is racing by and it's already time for Rain's Thursday Art Date, and this time her theme is

♥♥LOVE♥♥

There are many verses, quotes, sayings and books about love, but it would be too much here to bring them all together. Here are a couple of my fave quotes:

"Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned." ~  Song of Solomon 8:6

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." I Corinthians 1-3
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."  I Corinthians 13
Last week I made a journal page with the quote, 'Love me, love my dog', and a few of my readers said they would like to see something similar with cats.
So here, especially for Elizabeth,CJSandra, and all cat lovers out there, is a cat page. The adorable cats are from Pexels. I am linking to AJJ, hearts, Rain, and to Paint Party Friday:

And here some more pieces with a love theme from previous times:

Midweek post and happy mail

Hi Everybody!

We had another very cold and windy day here, but I was lucky to get home this afternoon just before the rain started. Sooner or later it has to get better!

For my 'spring is in the air challenge at Tag Tuesday I have another tag made from the masterboard I showed yesterday. This time the background stamps used are from Artemio. The woolly sheep is one I picked up last week at the Euro shop, I couldn't resist it!

And here another piece of altered art, this time with a painting from Miro, which I chopped up, re-assembled and scribbled on - fun!

I was very happy to get some happy mail from Canada in the post this week, sent by David Gascoigne of Travels with birds.
David often goes off bird spotting and shows the most wonderful photos on his blog, and he really knows a lot about them. If you are a bird lover, check his blog out - it's worth it!

I love this card with the penguins, which I unfortunately only know from zoos,
and this pic is really priceless. Miriam made the beautiful bookmark, which is so beautifully sewn. Thanks you guys, much appreciated! Real letters in the postbox instead of bills and adverts are always such a delight, and seem to be getting rarer these days, which makes it all the lovelier when letters like this arrive!

This was the nearest we got to sunrise today:

The sky changed constantly, from black clouds to blue skies and sunshine:

The Canada Geese were out and about:

The sheep are higher up on the meadows just now:

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, I had problems to keep the camera still because of the raging wind, which didn't seem to disturb the sheep a bit:

More damage along the stream:

I just got home before the rain started:

And I have new slipper-socks to keep my feet warm- aaaaaaaaaaw!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
