Weekend post

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing you all a great weekend, and a wonderful loooong weekend if you live in England!
It's warmed up considerably here, but still nothing like it was a few weeks back, so I'm hoping it won't be too-hot-to-move-or-sleep hot again.

I have 2 more tags that I made for Tag Tuesday, very simple ones, just what I would call construction tags as they are just made up of bits and pieces from my stash and fixed together with some sewing - very quick and very easy. I will be using them as birthday greetings for friends. For the masculine one I used some images from Hunkydory, and the feminine outfit - maker unknown- has been sewn onto some recycled card:

The text reads 'with love and best wishes':

Yesterday I was out and about with Nathalie again, and she made some (not very realistic) photos with the snapchat app on her phone - how to look young and beautiful again without even trying:

We went to Südpark (South park) where we had a midday snack and then visited some of the animals at the farm there and met up with some strange folk:

The flower garden was looking good:

The goats were playful and friendly, as always:

Doris and Heike, the piggy ladies, were enjoying their midday sleep and did not let themselves be disturbed:

Here are some photos from a previous visit which show them without a muddy coat:

That's all for today, it's time to get moving!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Friday Post

Hi Everybody!

Time seems to fly past more quickly with every passing day. Today just disappeared. Had some long walks and then art group this afternoon, and now it's a warm and peaceful evening.
I am sharing another tag for my 'anything goes' challenge at Tag Tuesday
This was once again made with a piece of painted and collaged paper left over from another project. I sewed it to some red matting, added the bird and the TH figure, and gave the collaged bird a feather that floated down onto my balcony last week:

This is one of the pieces I made last week at Art Class, today's piece is still a WIP. Here I painted the squares in various colours and used a black Edding for the edges:

Then I added some stenciling:

After stitching over the edges with zick-zack stitch I affixed it to a new, A3 journal with double sided, extra strength ds tape.

The last step was to give it 2 coats of varnish to make it easier to keep clean:

I am linking to Paint Party Friday and Soma's Wandering Camera

Yesterday I went for a quick walk over the other side of Königs Allee, and enjoyed the fantastic shop windows. I'm hiding in this pic, too:

Loved the decorations here:

The WIP I made at Art Group today was inspired by these colours:

This canal divides the two sides of the street. It used to be part of the fortifications, but in the early 19th century it was re-planned as a source of water and is today a beautiful place to walk along:

The Hermes building is one of my faves here, it definitely brings some Parisian flair with it:

Today Nathalie and I went walking through a park and then along the Rhine:

And we rewarded ourselves at my fave ice-cafe after a long, hot walk. Nathalie had an ice-coffee and I had water and cappuccino. And I shared my cookie with Nathalie, after I had taken the pic!

Midweek post and a tag

Hi Everybody!

It's Wednesday already, and I got woken up again this morning by the crows sitting in the tree outside enjoying the sunrise. I never need an alarm!

I have another tag for my 'anything goes' challenge at Tag Tuesday. I used a left-over piece of painted paper which I cut to shape, matted and sewed. The lettering in the background is from a sheet of very ancient rub-ons I discovered in my recent clear-out. They are hard to rub on as they seem to have dried out! The happy couple are from TH. They are both dancing on music, as they are off to a dance evening, and he has ordered some red roses to be delivered to her there - will he propose? You still have several days to join the challenge!

The weather here has been cooler these past days, with clouds and sunshine and rain, and I enjoyed watching the ever-changing skies. It's going to warm up again over the next few days:

Sunrise this morning:

Nathalie and I went to collect our new spectacles:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
