This and That

Hi Everybody!

Today I have another tag to share for my
autumn/Halloween challenge at Tag Tuesday - you still have a
couple of days to join in! The image was sewn onto a
coordinating backing paper and I used some natural
leaves for decoration.

For the Simon Monday challenge, monochrome,
I have a card that I have made. It was stamped onto LaBlanche
speciality paper. The BG stamps are also from LaBlanche and
were stamped with vintage photo DI, the image of Leda
(Lost Coast Designs) was stamped with Adirondack
Espresso. The die-cut word is from Sizzix. I sewed all the
layers together again:

I fitted the card inside this 'window' card which is a
recycled one which I didn't want to throw away:

And more photos of my walk in Südpark:

The 'washing' on the line is supposed to be art:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

The face of autumn

Hi Everybody!

For Elke's  lovely 'landscapes of the soul' theme at
an A3 mixed media piece using the last of the paper leaves
made a few weeks back. I have been working on this piece
bit by bit in Art group each Monday. Her hair was made with strips of
transparent material, eyelash yarn and the paper leaves. I glued
it all together with silicone glue.

An I have more sunrise pictures, we have had some spectacular
ones lately:

Venus is still visible in the dawn sky:

I always wonder where the planes are off to:

The wild geese on their way down to the Rhine:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Let the light in....

Hi Everybody!

For Elke's lovely challenge 'Landscapes of the soul'
at Art Journal Journey I have an A4 mixed media piece.
I made the background some time back, using paints and pastel chalks,
and then forgot about it, which is why it looks a bit
worse for wear. I added the lanterns, which I cut out
of a catalogue and some washi tapes. I am also linking to

This week I got a wonderful surprise in the post - I just
love happy mail. It was sent by CJ & Ink - my prize from a  draw
she did on her blog, when she offered a set of crocheted
coasters. They were accompanied by lots of other
fab goodies, including the beautiful, handmade journal
on the right, with 'thoughts' written on the title page.
Thanks for your generosity CJ, you can see how
nice my cup looks sitting on the new coasters!

As many of you know, I am fascinated by the dawn,
sunrise, moon, sky and clouds. If you look carefully in the first photo
you can see Venus to the right of the tree:

And it's always magical when the sun slides over the
horizon:

I took a walk last week to the castle and village of Kalkum.
I love this 'lovers' walk' in the grounds:

The Michaelmas daisies were poking through the fence:

The mill stream and mill:

The big storm a couple of weeks back brought a tree down
which destroyed part of the wall:

I enjoyed the autumn colours and reflections in the moat
and stream:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
