Shades of autumn

Hi Everybody!

On the 5th of each month we start a new challenge at
Our themes are always anything goes, with an optional
colour choice, which is orange this time round.
I used an image from Gecko Galz, which I printed onto canvas.
I distressed the edges and sewed it to  layers of cardboard
and DP, adding some webbing and a feather. I love the autumn
atmosphere in this one, and am listening to the crows'
harsh, rasping voices as I write this. I am also linking to Elke's
'landscapes of the soul' at Art Journal Journey.

For Wilma's lovely challenge at Tag Tuesday, all creatures great
and small, I have another Beatrix Potter tag:

I took the photos with my phone on my way to the clinic this week:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

T Stands for This and That

Hi Everybody!

Tomorrow we are staring a new challenge at
Tag Tuesday - all creatures great and small, hosted by
our lovely Wilma. I hope you will have time to join us in the next
2 weeks. I have just been doing digital crafting this time, as I
have not yet been well enough to get back to the grind.
'All things bright and beautiful' is the first line of an English
children's hymn. My first thought with 'all creatures great and small'
was Beatrix Potter, and her famous and lovable creatures:

For Elke's challenge 'landscapes of the soul' at
Art Journal Journey I made a digital piece using images from
Mischief  Circus, Serif and me. I am also linking to Digitally made,
Halloween or use.....purple:

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a big welcome
to all of the ladies of the T group. My drink is usually coffee, but
lately I was feeling so bad I didn't even want my coffee - that
is a bad sign!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Autumn, a time of transition

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing you all a happy October. This is one of my
fave months, what with Autumn and then Halloween,
so I'm hoping we'll get some good weather.
I am starting to feel better - not yet quite back to
'normal' - whatever that might be - but on the right way.
I will be taking things easier the next couple of weeks and
hope that will help, so may not be blogging as much as usual.
Tomorrow is Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd, so I am re-showing
an A3 mixed media collage made last year. This piece reminds me
very much of autumn - the seasons flying past and plants
and animals settling in for their winter sleep; everything slowing
down and beginning to fade. The butterflies and
dragonflies are there showing the hope that the circle of life
will start again next spring:

As I haven't been able to get out, I took photos from my balcony
yesterday, just showing the trees and their various colours:

Then I took pictures of the remaining plants on my balcony - not
really exciting, but I like to record the transition between
summer and autumn:

These are tiny, about 1/2" in diameter:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
