Mid-week this and that

Hi Everybody!
Today is cold, wet, wild and windy, and so I arrived back home
wet and tired, and plan on having an easy
afternoon with my feet up.

For Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's wonderful 'out and about' challenge,
I have a hybrid piece using my fave bears again (Serif). The background is a photo of the plastic lid I use as my palette. Family bear are
having a picnic for Dad's birthday, and he forgot to bring goodies for the kids
and has already emptied nearly all the bottles. Mother Bear
is not amused
:

For Paint Party Friday I have a double mixed media spread
in my 2nd 'new' journal, using a painted background, paper napkins
and stenciling. The quote is from Dylusions. I am also linking to Simon
Monday Challenge, make your own background:

We had some incredible skies again this week:

I discovered this strange, rusty fire hydrant on my walks,
I think it will be good for a steampunk piece sooner
or later:

Have a good week you all,
take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by

Tuesday post

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at
Hats and headgear.
Michele has a surprise for you this week, so be sure to look!
I made a mixed media tag, with a partly
peeled cardboard base which was painted and collaged.
You have two weeks to join us there, and conventional hats
are also very welcome, I just couldn't
resist these birdies:

Today is also T stands for Tuesday at Elizabeth's blog,
so a hearty welcome to all of the nice
ladies of the T Gang. The ice parlour has opened it's doors
again and the cappuccino tastes as good as I remembered:

I baked a chocolate chip cake, the photo was taken
before I added the frosting - help yourselves:

My Sunday walk was sunny:

Have a great day you all, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Mixed media tags and more

Hi Everybody!

Today we are beginning a new challenge at

and the theme is anything goes, with optional green.
You have 4 weeks to link your mixed media creations, so
hope to see you there. For my DT piece I made a pair of
8" tags. The background was painted with Vivadecor metallic
paints in olive and blue. Then I collage them with some scraps and
one of the paper napkins Sandy sent recently. The diamonds were
stenciled with bronze structure paste and then embossed with Frantage.
I added some scraps of gold leafing, and 2 figures cut from a recycled
calendar. And I love this Dylusions quote, 'If the young only knew, if the old only could' - too true! Some ribbon and paper and glass beads
were used as embellishments.

I am also linking to destination inspiration, anything goes

For Yvonne's lovely challenge 'Out and About'
at Art Journal Journey I made a hybrid piece, mixing some
digital embellishments (Daisytrail) with some old family photos and
a photo taken in an old village street near here. Bernie bear
is not riding carefully, I hope he doesn't hit those geese:

Saturday morning got off to a fine start:

The restaurants, shops and houses are all decorated
ready for spring:

The gulls are probably looking for spring:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
