Tag Tuesday - new challenge

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at
-Spring Flowers-

Our challenge got off to a great start last week,
it was fun to see lots of people joining
in, so hope this week goes well, too.
My fave spring flowers are the pink and white blossoms on the
trees, and I eagerly wait till I see the first blooms - then I know
it is really spring. I used peeled, panted and embossed
cardboard for the background. The image is da Vinci's 'Leda',
stamped with Adirondack espresso, as I love the contrast
between brown and soft pinks:

These photos were taken in February and March last year:

Have a great day you all,
take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

Waiting for spring

Hi Everybody!

It's been a cold, wet and windy Sunday here -
we only saw the sun at sunrise, and then
it stayed home the rest of the day, so
I did the same.

And I consoled myself with a journal page where
the weather looks better....I made a collage using paper napkins,
stamping, doodling and painting with water colours:

For Art Journal Journey, Linda's lovely theme of '50 shades of red',
I have a hybrid piece, using a sunrise photo as BG,
and a face image from dear Gill:

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday,
where we 'meet' to share our drinks and
sometimes more, so come on in ladies, and help yourselves:

Coconut bars:

I visited the K20 and 21 Museums on Saturday, and was
once again wowed by the wonderful architecture, especially
in the K21:

I will show the photos of the exhibition another day.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Buddha, trains and spring flowers

Hi Everybody!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

For Linda's lovely challenge, '50 shades of red' over at Art Journal Journey I have a hybrid piece, combining a collage/painting with  a
background from Gill and a filter from my stash

For Sandie's Go Tag Thursday I have a sideways tag today,
the theme is cogs and wheels. I tried to stage a Victorian station
with lots of locs (Lost Coast), and some strange figures from Paper Artsy. On the other platform, almost hidden in the steam, you can see the Bronte sisters.

I am sharing some more photos from the Town Museum,
especially of these wonderful ovens and chimneys, some
with wonderful blue Delft tiles:

And I liked this organ - perhaps instead of a hi-fi sound system?

We had a lot of clouds passing through yesterday,
but it stayed dry:

My fave flower shop has moved to a new location with more space:

Have a great day, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!
