Tulips from Amsterdam

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Art Journal Journey -

For The Record.

Linda is our hostess, and will be accompanying us through the month.

Linda wants us to create journal pages round a song title or words. Please make it clear on your journal page which song you have chosen, by incorporating the title or some words from the song.
I chose 'tulips from Amsterdam'. The background has been made with brushos sprayed with water. The tulips were drawn with black ink and painted with Gelatos and water colours, then fussy cut, and mounted on the background.
I am also linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, and
Moo Mania and More,  'spring'.

For 99 faces I have another doodle face, these are getting rather addictive....

A collage, a face and more

Hi everybody!

Today is the last day of Chris' theme 'If you go down to the woods'

at Art Journal Journey, and I have made my usual collage, although I think I have forgotten a couple....HUGE thanks to Chris for all the lovely journal pages she made, and for for all the hours she put in visiting all the participants and commenting on their work.

The new challenge is beginning tomorrow!

And I have another doodle face today for 99 faces, number 96 already - just 3 more to go! But I am having fun making these doodle creations, it's relaxing to work without planning and thinking and to see what it turns into at the end.

I had to walk very slowly today, as my knee was very painful, and I was happy to have the walker to hold onto till it is better.

Mid Week Mix

Hi Everybody!

Our challenge at Art Journal Journey, hosted  by Chris, is coming to an end, and on Friday we will be starting a new one - don't forget to come back to learn what it's all about and who will be our new hostess.

This is my last piece for 'If you go down to the woods'. I used a mixed media piece made some time back, and digitally altered it and added the sentiment.

Yesterday was very stormy, but towards evening the wind 

got less, and I enjoyed seeing the clouds reflecting the sunset:

Tuesday Mixed Bag

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting   new challenge at TIOT

so we need to see some words of wisdom on your projects. Projects of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to link your creations to us - hope to see lots of you at there!

I made a hybrid piece, using photos of the Basilica, Erika and a bird in a tree. I have given it bright colours - not my usual choice - to underline my message.

For 99 faces I have another doodle face, and I have started doodling again, so there will be more to come.  This is number 94 - 5 more to go.

And as it's Tuesday it's also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big welcome to all the T Gang. I did not manage to get round to everybody in the Gang last week, as I was just exhausted after the Rehab/Boot camp, but as I am now free again, I will get to you all this week.

Today I am sharing some Flapjacks - these are English cookies, made with golden syrup, brown sugar, oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruit - whatever you have to hand. No, no calories. They are sticky and delicious!

And my drink is, as always, cappuccino.
