Tuesday Mixed Bag

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting   new challenge at TIOT
-quotes-
so we need to see some words of wisdom on your projects. Projects of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to link your creations to us - hope to see lots of you at there!

I made a hybrid piece, using photos of the Basilica, Erika and a bird in a tree. I have given it bright colours - not my usual choice - to underline my message.

For 99 faces I have another doodle face, and I have started doodling again, so there will be more to come.  This is number 94 - 5 more to go.

And as it's Tuesday it's also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big welcome to all the T Gang. I did not manage to get round to everybody in the Gang last week, as I was just exhausted after the Rehab/Boot camp, but as I am now free again, I will get to you all this week.
Today I am sharing some Flapjacks - these are English cookies, made with golden syrup, brown sugar, oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruit - whatever you have to hand. No, no calories. They are sticky and delicious!

And my drink is, as always, cappuccino.

And some photos taken on sunny Saturday:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Deep in the magic woods

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend!
After the lovely, sunny day yesterday we had a wild,  wet and  windy day, but the sun did show itself for a few minutes and I managed a short walk through the fields.

For Art Journal Journey, if you go down to the woods, I have another hybrid page showing the woods from their magical side again.....

For 99 faces  (number 93) I have another of my doodle faces, this time a Buddha variation:

The catkins were blowing merrily in the wind today:

The castle ruins are once again open, so yesterday I enjoyed walking through them again:

The blackbird is one of the residents there:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Happy Easter

Hi Everybody!

I am still enjoying my lazy few days here, and today I was very happy to see that the sun had come out. It was great to watch the sun dispelling the morning mist and frost and inviting us to a day of blue skies.

For Art Journal Journey, if you go down to the woods, Mama Bear is back again.
She has been hiding eggs for Easter, and then she sees that the chicks and rabbits have already found them all!

This is another of my hospital doodles. I have another 2, but perhaps I will
make some more, as they were so relaxing to make, and I still have lots of empty pages in the journal. I am linking to 99 faces (Number 92).

I was happy to get out for a walk again. The skies and the Rhine were blue, and it was even possible to sit on a bench by the river and not turn into an ice cube.

I was even able to sit in the square and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Have a great weekend, Happy Easter to all who celebrate it,
take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

Saturday this and that

Hi Everybody!

Today has been a wet and drippy day, so I stayed home, made some nice food, read, slept and kept my nose out of trouble, which was all very enjoyable.

I had fun playing with the stencils I made some time back for my 'Nanas', the wonderful, rounded forms immortalised by Niki de Saint Phalle.

I placed them on a rusty background and let them dance around with some lacy shadows.

This is another of my 'hospital' doodle faces, which really helped me keep sane there - doing nothing is not really my thing!  I am linking to 99 faces (Number 91). By the way, somebody told me that the doodle faces don't really look 'real' - well, what a surprise!

For Art Journal Journey, if you go down to the woods, I have a hybrid piece combining lots of photos with digital elements:

The trees were dripping wet all day, tomorrow is supposed to be better!

Not even the birds were were in their tree.....

Have a great day, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!
