New challenge at TIOT

Hi Everybody!

Today was another hard day at the Boot Camp, rehab, but I am getting stronger
from day to day, and that's why I'm there. 9 days down, 6 still to go!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday
and our theme is Nature. As always, projects of all sorts are allowed, and you
have 2 weeks to get creative, and to link your creation  to us.

I made a hybrid piece using one of my photos taken at the Rhine, text and a mask.

And it's Tea stands for Tuesday, my drink is coffee, and a hearty welcome to Elisabeth and the T gang! Help yourselves to lemon cake!

For 99 faces I have another hybrid piece, using a mixed media background,  a Frida Kahlo stencil with lace(stencilry) and a bird photo.

The photos were taken on my Sunday walk:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Norwegian Wood

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We had another cold and sunny day here,
and I was able to go walking again along my beloved Rhine,
so I was really happy. On Monday it's back to Boot Camp/Rehab and 6 hours of intensive training. But it is helping, so that's the main thing!

For Art Journal Journey, if you go down to the woods, I
made another hybrid piece, a little blast from the past, using a stencil (stencilry)
of John Lennon over a wooded background.
I am also linking to 99 faces (face 78)

And to get you into the 60s mood:

The day started with a beautiful sunrise:

Mrs Thrush was once again the first in the queue for breakfast:

The lion and the unicorn

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend, and I am so enjoying it!
The weather is cold but sunny, and no wind, just perfect.
I  went for a walk, which is a lot pleasanter than boot camp exercises.
I was able to go along the Rhine again, watch the boats, visit the Basilica
and do some shopping. The lady at the cash desk helped me pack my stuff into my little rucksack and heave it onto my back so I could get home safely with it.
I was so happy to be out again. My walk took twice as long as usual, but the main thing is that I was able to get out and about again
without help. My knee is still hurting and swollen, but bearable, and sooner or later it will surely be better.

For Art Journal Journey, if you go down to the woods,
I made a hybrid page using a poem I wrote for an anthology back in 2009,
a little dream about a society where all are friends with each other.

I also made a little book of it back then, this is the cover, I will show the rest next month at Elizabeth's Second on the Second.

Mrs Thrush was up early and waiting for her breakfast at sunrise:

The water in the Rhine was blue and sparkling:

and thanks a lot for coming by!

Through the window of fantasy

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend, which means I have 2 Boot Camp free days,
wonderful!
The hard work there is showing results, I can walk  better from day to day, and that's the main thing. Rehab is now 8 days down and 7 to go - that's more than half way!!

For Art Journal Journey, if you go down to the woods, I  have another hybrid piece, made from various photos and some fantasy elements:

We had a wonderful sunrise again this morning, and sunny weather
nearly all day:

The photos here were taken 1 year ago today:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
