This, that and more for Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

Today we are beginning a new challenge at TIOT, transport.
As usual, the challenge runs for 2 weeks and projects of all formats are allowed as long as they are relevant to our theme. I used a background which was painted, stenciled and then collaged with magazine cut-outs. Then I digitally added some photos taken here. The vintage car on the right is from Freuebel's Freebies.

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love, I have a hybrid piece. The tree, branches and birds are all photos taken here, and I collaged them with a silhouette of the children dancing round a Maypole.

It is also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big hello to all the T Gang. I am showing you a damson pie I made, and it was really delicious. Yes, dear readers - was. Next time I will save some for you!

And my drink is, of course frothy coffee:

The water in the Rhine is slowly receding, the water fowl will miss their playground!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

This and that for Monday

Hi Everybody!
Hope your weekend was good.

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love, and 99 faces, I made another Modigliani 'knock-off'. I painted her face with water colours and pastel chalks, and placed her onto an A3 background made with gesso and brushos.
I am having fun with Modigliani just now. This is face number 66.

Today was wet and cold, but the signs of spring cannot be ignored:

Have a great day you all, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Grungy, rusty Valentine

Hi Everybody!

Happy Valentine's Day!

To celebrate the day I made 2 hybrid pages, which I am linking to Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love, and Moo Mania and More, hearts.
My grungy wall has been used for the background of both pages.
Here I have added rusty roses, my heart and my window-sill cherub.

For the second page I used an image from Dezinaworld, combined with my grungy wall and rusty heart.

We had a cold and frosty night followed by a wonderful sky in the early morning:

Anr the sunrise was wonderful

Here I took  photos of the sunrise reflected in one of my pictures:

Have  a great day you all,
take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

Grungy walls

Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - enjoy!

Today I have a hybrid piece made using the photo of the grungy wall
that I took this week, with my Modigliani knock-off that I showed yesterday
placed onto it. The colours go so well together. The rusty heart is one I bought here, and is in reality about 1", I just enlarged it a bit.
I am linking to Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love and Moo Mania and More, hearts.

Here is the grungy wall photo again; if you want to use it, feel free!

The Rhine was a lot higher today, but as it hasn't rained for 2 days I am hoping it will soon go down again. The little stream is very full:

Here, where it joins the Rhine, the water is up to the level of the bridge, you can't see the arch underneath just now. The footpath leads over the bridge:

I found another nice, grungy wall today:

The gangway to the boats is almost on a level with the towpath:

Have a great weekend you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
