This, that and the other for Tuesday.

Hi Everybody!

For Art Journal Journey, collage, and for 99 faces I made a hybrid collage using 2 heads I painted and digitally cut out. I placed them onto a collaged background, added 2 of my bird photos -  balcony visitors - and the sentiment, part of a Dylusions set. The clock hands symbolise the transition of time from young to old.

I recently took part in an online petition, where we were asked to make a picture of ourselves taken with some food, to protest about the tons of food that shops and supermarkets throw away daily instead of donating it to people who can't afford to buy good things.

The above food collage fits well to Elisabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so welcome to all the T gang. I also baked some walnut and raisin buns, which are very delicious. I like to bake small cakes as they can be frozen individually, and taken out one by one - this prevents waste and the necessity to eat them all at once to save them from going bad! Anyway, help yourselves

And my drink is, as always, cappuccino.

Today I am sharing some photos of the beautiful windows in the Basilica and town.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Blue and grey

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed the weekend, and wish you a good start
in the new week.

For Art Journal Journey, collage, and 99 Faces I made a face collage on an A3 background. I painted the background with diluted colours left over from another project, sprinkled it with water, and then mopped off the drops with a paper towel to add some interest. The face is just an outline drawn in black ink. I just added some colour to the eyes, mouth and eyebrows, and some gold pen as 'eye-liner' . I collaged some paper scraps, and added some birds and stars which were flying around on my table. The piece of yarn was there, too, so it also had to be glued on.

Today was a wet, grey and gloomy day, although the water birds seemed to be enjoying it:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Looking to the skies

Hi Everybody!

Today I have a masculine collage for Art Journal Journey. I made a hybrid collage using a painted and textured background, and some of the good looking men I cut out of a prospect some days back .

We had several days with blue skies and I had fun taking pictures of the wonderful skies:

This bird turned round as I took the photo:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Saturday this and that

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - have a good one!

For 99 faces and Art Journal Journey, collage, I made a face and collaged the sentiment. I made a series of these monochrome, rather old-fashioned faces in various colours, this is the second one. I drew her with black ink and painted her with water-colours. The quote is from Marilyn Monroe.

The photos were taken yesterday when the sun was shining, and once again I saw lots of birds which caught my eye.

The cormorant was drying his wings, which always looks like he's greeting the sun - perhaps he is.

And the gulls have the last word again:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
