New Challenge at Moo Mania and More

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Moo Mania and More
-favourite images or stamps-
As usual projects of all formats are welcome, and you have 2 weeks to get your creative juices flowing and join up with us - hope to see you there!

I have a hybrid piece, made from a painted background, some stamped and textured  images, my head drawing, and other photos taken here, all digitally combined to a collage.
I am also linking to Art Journal Journey, collage.

And I have a second hybrid collage with a face,  which I am also linking to Art Journal Journey and  99 faces

For Wen's 'simply neutrals' I made a collage using photos of lace and ice on puddles.

And last but not least, today is "2nd on the 2nd" at Elizabeth's.
I am showing a face made some time back for another challenge, remodeled into a hybrid collage:

And some photos of out little town taken on Sunday - today was too wet to to take photos of anything.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

New Challenge at Art Journal Journey

Hi Everybody!

December is here already, and that means it's time for a new challenge at

-collage-

You can choose your own theme and colour  scheme, but I do want to see some journaling on your pages. It can be handwritten, or stamped or collaged, or even added digitally;it can be short or long, but it should be there!
Collage is a great opportunity to get rid of all the scraps that have amassed in the course of the year, so let yourselves be inspired and link your wonderful creations at our blog.

For my DT piece I used a photo of a window overlooking London Bridge to which I digitally added my strange man and  woman, and lots of bubbles. This was printed out and collaged to an A3 page. I then added various TH stamps, which were printed onto card, fussy cut and collaged, as well as the scroll, the ticket and 2 Umbrella men in black and white. My journaling was partly written and partly made with stick on alphas. I had big fun first making the digital collage, and then collaging it again to make a 'real' one.

At TIOT we are entering the second week of our challenge for gift bags or boxes. These little envelopes have been cut with a Sizzix die, stamped, and tied with baker's twine. These are filled with little gifts and will be  presents for the postman etc. You still have a whole week to enter our challenge.

It's also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big welcome to all of the T Gang. At the Wednesday market by the Rhine we are tempted every week by this organic bakery. They sell the most delicious bread, rolls and cakes. Mostly I manage to resist the temptation, but last week it drew me in like a magnet and I found I was standing in front of the display, almost drooling. It would have been rude to just walk away, so I bought a slice of 'Berliner Brot', a dark and sticky cake with chocolate and hazelnuts, and very delicious.

Here you can see it in all its glory:

And I chopped it up into lots of slices, so help yourselves, enjoy!

My drink is, as always, cappuccino:

The Konditorei has decorated their window with giant gingerbread houses, all edible, of course - don't they look good?

The Optician's has a similar decoration, but I think it is not edible!

I will show my pieces for the other Tuesday challenges later in the week, the post today is already full enough!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Last day of inspired by autumn colours

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing you all a good start in the new week.

Today is the last day of out challenge 'Inspired by autumn colours' at Art Journal Journey. We had lots of wonderful entries, and you still have a few hours if you want to join in! But please come back tomorrow to see what the new challenge will be.

I made a collage of most of my journal pages again:

For 99 Faces and colours of autumn I made this face, drawn in black ink, painted with water colours and stamped. Not my fave face, but that's okay. Not all faces are lovely, neither in life nor on paper!

I took more photos of my vase when the sun shone in this morning,

Today was very windy, and the gulls were soaring about in a group, looked like they were just having fun:

And suddenly they all stopped and sat on the railings to rest:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Sunday this and that

Hi Everybody!

Hope your weekend is going well.

Our challenge at Art Journal Journey is nearly over, on Tuesday a new challenge will be starting. I have more work for 'inspired by the colours of autumn' today. I made an A3 mixed media page. The central part was digitally made, using a photo and a drawing to make the background and eyes, with some digital add ons from Algeradesign and Dezinaworld. The background was painted in autumn colours and I added some stenciled patterns.
I am also linking to 99 faces

For June's cheeky challenge the theme this week is cowboy.
I one again used autumn colours. The background is a photo taken last week. The horses are also my photos, as are the flying geese. The cowboy was googled.

The ducks were happy swimming around in circles:

The heron decided to go for a walk with the lady and her dog:

And why? The heron didn't like the company of dozens of geese, gulls and ducks which suddenly descended and disturbed his peace:

The heron was looking for fish as always:

And was actively mobbed by ducks who swam circles round him - I saw the same thing with a gull recently! He looked most indignant, and then took off to look for quieter fishing grounds!

The Magpie is a frequent visitor to my balcony - here he is trying to not to look interested....

This little chappie also visits a lot, much to the annoyance of the tits (chickadees) who think that the balcony is their territory.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
