Hi Everybody!

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, had another very bad day, and hope that today will be better. Hope you are all doing well.

Today I have another A3 face painting for Erika's seeing red challenge at AJJ. This lady is a bit different, I like experimenting!

T sTands for food and drink galore

Hi Everybody!

I had a fun weekend, did some drawing and painting, watched TV and read a lot. On Sunday I went out for lunch with my friend Heike, and we enjoyed ourselves.

This painting was made some weeks back and I am linking it to Erika's seeing red challenge at AJJ. The text along the left side of her neck reads 'silence is golden'. I used acrylics on an A3 sheet of paper:

This evening we start celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link part, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who come by!

I mostly eat a banana and a raisin roll or slice of bread for breakfast. This roll looks just like a mouse, but I'm thankful to say  there was no mouse in it!

The pub / restaurant that we went to on Sunday was decorated for carnival. Tomorrow is the big parade in many cities, but on Ash Wednesday it's all

 over:

We both drank Weizen beer without alcohol:

The food was delicious. I had 2 giant Shnitzels with lots of chips / fries and a salad. I only managed one Schnitzel, so they packed the other one for me and I will eat it tomorrow:

Then Heike had a fun idea that we should go over the road to our fave Café  for a cappuccino!

She bought me a chocolate heart, so pretty:

I think this evening we will both be exhausted from eating and drinking!

Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing us all good weekend! I'm looking forward to some time to relax, paint, read and to go with a friend for a nice Sunday dinner at my fave restaurant here.

Today I am linking another piece to Erika's seeing red challenge at AJJ. I found a huge sheet of paper (A1) in the art room which had been used as an underlay for a water colour piece and then discarded. I loved the coloured stains on this half of the paper, and decided to paint on it. There was also a white ring made with something like structure paste on it. I used the white ring as part of my eye, added a nose and a big, red mouth and painted lightly over some parts with a very diluted indian yellow. I had a lot of fun making this, just playing on a used sheet of paper, and it was very relaxing. I stamped 'vision'. The quote written along the right side is:'Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others'
