TGIF

Hi Everybody !

It's Friday already, where did the week go?

The first piece I am sharing today was made after a lesson in the Facebook Taster Course by Alena Hennessy:

And I have another spread in my junk journal using owls which are hand carved lino-cuts, each about 6" high. I stamped them onto tissue and then I was able to reverse one to get them looking at each other:

I am linking both pieces to AJJ, Chris', 'hold the line' challenge and to Paint Party Friday.

And some autumn photos from this week:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Thursday Already

Hi Everybody!

This week is flying by like a bat late for Halloween and I am just trying not to get too far behind.

I have another 2 spreads in my junk journal to share. Once again I kept the paint transparent and the theme is autumn/ Halloween. Here I painted the trees, stamped the witch, broom, cat and hat, stenciled the stars and collaged the raven. I am linking to Chris' 'hold the line' challenge at AJJ

This one is in the same colour scheme. The face in the background was in my stash, the eye on the left is stamped, the stars are stenciled. The little girl, leopard and eagle were collaged:

Today stared off misty:

Midweek Post

Hi Everybody!

Life seems to be getting curiouser and curiouser. The Covid numbers are rising, and we are getting new instructions and rules on a daily basis, which is good, but sometimes confusing, as the rules are varied from district to district.  More people are really wearing their masks,  and once again toilet paper is a valued commodity which people want to hoard - a bad sign! And we are all suffering because of the strikes which are being carried on . Yesterday and today we had no trams, trains or buses, some hospitals and many kindergartens have been closed. I am not against strikes, but this is not the time for it. And we still have no heating here....

I have made a lot of journal spreads in my new 'junk' journal, and am having fun working in this format (16" x 8"). The background was painted transparently to let the background show through. The crows and sentiment were stamped onto tissue and then pasted on with art potch:

I drew over the tree with a gelato:

In this one the background is not transparent as it had a little coffee accident and had to be repainted. Shame about the coffee, though! The tree was painted, the three little cuties are part of a Gecko Galz image, the stars were stenciled:

The photos were taken this morning before and during sunrise, but it was so cooooold on my balcony! Still, some things are just important:
