Friday this and that

Hi Everybody!

Another week is flying by, and tomorrow is Paint Party Friday, hosted as always, by Eva and Kristin. I got some more stamps cut this week. This one is about 7" high - these were the 'first impressions' again:

This one is 6"

At TIOT our theme is still destinations - I have a hybrid piece using pieced-together photos I took of the Altstadt on a free map background:

And here is an old mixed-media journal spread that I reworked because the pages had partly stuck together. The Hebrew text reads 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth'

Last Sunday I visited Hariksee (a large lake between here and the Dutch border) with my buddy G. It is a beautiful place to enjoy a quiet walk on a hot day:

T stands for This and ThaT

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are beginning a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely Wendy is hosting. She has chosen the theme of locks and keys, which is perhaps not my favourite theme but I tried my best to make a mixed media tag with them!

It is also half time at TIOT, and I made another hybrid destinations piece to remind you, using a cut out photo over a painted background and some elements from Serif:

Tuesday is also time for Elizabeth's Tea stands for Tuesday party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T gang:

Last Thursday I went out for a meal to a Greek restaurant with my buddy G. I was so hungry that I forgot to take the photo before I started on the food:

This is G's meal:

We each got a side-plate of salad, and for starters we had warm bread with olives and Tsatsiki:

I drank a diet coke and G had bitter lemon:

After the meal I had an espresso, served with a chocolate coffee bean. This is the very best espresso I have had in years!

After the meal we went for a walk in the nearby park and enjoyed the sunshine:

The Japanese Garden, a present from the Japanese people living in Düsseldorf, is always magnificent:

Can you see the gardener up in the tree?

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Paint Party Friday

Hi Everybody!

Another week has sped by, tomorrow is Friday already, and time for Paint Party Friday, hosted as always by Eva and Kristin. I carved some more stamps at group this week, and this is the first impression of my semi-abstract nudes. I still need to clean away a bit at some of the edges, but on the whole I am satisfied with them. The figures are 6" high:

For this piece I used a painting of a vase of flowers made many years back, added a quote, and gave it a digital frame (Serif):

And these are the photos I photographed on my way to the group, which is in an old house in wonderful gardens:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
