The moon will guide you....

Hi Everybody!
This week has been busy and gone by really quickly.
Yesterday I went on an outing with my buddy G
to Kaarster See, a lake with glorious paths all round
to walk along and enjoy the scenery. When we got back
here I baked waffles, which we enjoyed with vanilla
ice-cream and coffee - yummy!

For Elke's lovely 'landscape of the soul' theme at
Art Journal Journey I made a hybrid piece using photos and
elements from me and Serif:

We had good weather for our trip yesterday. It takes about an hour to
walk around the lake, and was very enjoyable. The lake is in an old
gravel pit with a surface measurement of  645834.60 square feet.

The masts at least ensure a good telephone reception:

The swans were swimming on the other side of the lake. When we got
there, they had moved over to the other side again....

I loved this fairy garden in the rotting
tree stump:

Light and shadow give great effects:

More photos to come!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Autumn fairy WIP

Hi Everybody!
Today I am sharing some autumn leaves I made, some of
which I used for my autumn fairy. The fairy isn't finished yet,
so this is a WIP. I will have her finished over the weekend.
I am linking to Paint Party Friday

For the leaves I painted, sprayed, dripped, glittered and stamped onto
an A3 sheet, which I cut into leaves using a Sizzix die.

Then I gave the individual leaves a coating of Deco Art
crackle glaze, and gave them some folds to make them
more dimensional:

I really like the effects I got.

We had some wonderful sunrise scenes this week:

Autumn is showing itself from its loveliest side:

Have a great day, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Midweek this and that

Hi Everybody!

It's midweek already, where did the time go?

For Elke's lovely theme 'landscapes of the soul' at
Art Journal Journey I have a hybrid piece, using another of my moon
photos as background. Other images are from Mischief Circus:

I am also linking to digitally made challenges, Halloween

Some photos from my walks this week:

Men at work:

I like walking through the backstreets. Actually, apart from the
main road where the tram goes through,
we only have backstreets:

Not many booths at the market, it's half-term holidays here:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

The Talking Library - Book Review

Hi Everybody!

A few weeks back I did a cover reveal for the new book from
Jessica Haight and Stephanie Robinson, which you can read here
if you missed it last time. The book will be published on
October 23rd.

I was lucky enough to get a preview copy, and enjoyed every
minute of reading it although  it is a children's story.

It tells the story of three friends, the DMS,  who get together to solve a
mystery. Each of them has unique talents, and they work together,
pooling their ideas and resources, to solve the mystery of the
bookworm who is eating letters in the library and thus changing
the stories of all the books we know and love.

Inspired by clues found in Fairday's old house in Ashpot,
the three friends brave dangers and overcome their
fears to get to the bottom of things. They have  good eyes
for spotting clues and good instincts to know whom they can trust
to help them. And when they meet a nefarious reporter,
they just know that he is bad....

The three kids, Fairday, Lizzy and Marcus are not only astute,
and good in solving riddles and logical puzzles;
they are bound together by friendship, loyalty
and the determination to solve the mystery
and save the books of the world.

I hope this short review has sparked your interest,
and that you will enjoy reading the book when
it is published in 2 weeks.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
