Paint Party Friday and more

Hi Everybody!

We've had a couple of cooler days, but spring is still
there, and it's great to see fresh green every day.
Thanks to those who asked how my clinic treatment is
progressing. I am enjoying my time there, it is strenuous,
but it is doing me good.

For Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, I have a
mixed media A3 piece. The background was gessoed, painted with
creme and bronze and textured with a brayer. The head was
collaged after being cut apart. The dream figures were painted using
various stencils. The birds and butterfly were stamped. I added the
quote and some washi tape. I am also linking to Hazel's
Magical Mystery tour at Art Journal Journey.

And some more spring flowers and blossoms:

This lovely old garden house is in the grounds of
the clinic:

The lilac trees are blossoming too:

I love the plants poking out of the crack between the
wall and the paving stones:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

New Challenge at More Mixed Media

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge over at
-anything goes, with optional yellow-
All mixed media projects are welcome, and you have
4 weeks to get your creativity flowing and
link up to us.

I made a simple spread in my 2nd 'new' journal. The background was gessoed and painted with acrylics. I used pieces of some paper napkins for the images. I added a die-cut word and a hand-written sentiment, and some dried grasses I harvested last year.

This magpie was enjoying sitting in the evening sun:

I love watching the sun rise up over the morning mist:

The lawns are full of flowers:

Bushes and trees are blooming everywhere:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
