Weekend

Hi Everybody!

Today the sun is shining, and I enjoyed a nice
walk along the Rhine. It's still quite chilly, but when
the sun shines it just feels better! Thanks to those who wrote
and asked if I was okay when I didn't post - I am just
very tired when I get back from the clinic each afternoon
and can't post everyday, but no cause for alarm!

For Go tag Thursday, men or boys, I have a 10" tag. I found a piece
of DP with town motives which I sewed onto a manila tag and a
peeled cardboard backing. I dipped the edges into Frantage aged
gold EP. The 'sandwich man' stamp was from a company which
no longer exists. I used to love seeing the Sandwich men walking up
and down the main shopping streets when I was a kid, but it was
probably a tedious job for low pay. Mr UM has been cut from
an old almanac cover, and is bearing adverts out of sympathy for
the Sandwich man.

I walked along the stream, and everything is slowly turning green:

The ducks were enjoying the sun, too:

The Rhine is full after all the rain of the past weeks:

Great name:

This wood pigeon is already busy:

Beautiful spring flowers all around the castle ruins:

Mr Music was playing happily as always:

Some different gulls were out today:

Our little town looks like spring:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks for coming by:

Out and About

Hi Everybody!
I'm very happy that it's weekend, as I am really exhausted
after all of the therapies this week, and a bit of rest
will do me good.

For Yvonne's challenge 'Out and About' at
Art Journal Journey I have a hybrid page made by cutting
and combining 2 of my van Gogh paintings, with a photo of a horse
and a bird added:

I am also linking to Paint Party Friday

The tag was made some weeks back, and as it has now reached its
destination in Canada I can show it. I used various bits and bobs,
combined with da Vinci's Leda stamped and painted onto
a coffee pod paper. I sewed the tag onto cardboard and then onto
some brown burlap sent to me some time back by dear

Nature is springing even if the weather isn't
playing the game:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Mid-week this and that

Hi Everybody!
Today is cold, wet, wild and windy, and so I arrived back home
wet and tired, and plan on having an easy
afternoon with my feet up.

For Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's wonderful 'out and about' challenge,
I have a hybrid piece using my fave bears again (Serif). The background is a photo of the plastic lid I use as my palette. Family bear are
having a picnic for Dad's birthday, and he forgot to bring goodies for the kids
and has already emptied nearly all the bottles. Mother Bear
is not amused
:

For Paint Party Friday I have a double mixed media spread
in my 2nd 'new' journal, using a painted background, paper napkins
and stenciling. The quote is from Dylusions. I am also linking to Simon
Monday Challenge, make your own background:

We had some incredible skies again this week:

I discovered this strange, rusty fire hydrant on my walks,
I think it will be good for a steampunk piece sooner
or later:

Have a good week you all,
take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by
