Hi Everybody!
The day started off very stormy here, with the sun battling its way through storm clouds, making a glorious sky with wonderful colours.
For Art Journal Journey, time, I was inspired by a hymn written by Isaac Watts in 1719, a paraphrase of Psalm 90. We used to sing it at school and I imagined the 'sons' floating away with the water.... My page is surely influenced by the Rhine, the meadows and the wonderful sunrises I see nearly every day. The A3 background was painted with gesso and acrylic paints, and I used a marker to divide the colours. The people floating away have been kept very shadowy, I used stencils from Dina Wakley and Jessica Sporn with a transparent grey.
And here some pictures of the ever changing sky this morning, all taken in less than half an hour:
And the rest of the day it rained and rained and rained, but the air was clean and fresh, and I enjoyed my umbrella walk!

Wow-today your post is filled with color. Those gorgeous skies, and this very bright journal piece. I love it. I love the movement it has, and I can see your inspiration from all the photos you show of the Rhine and the sunrises. :)

ReplyDeleteLove the journal page and those skies are amazing. It's a grey rainy day here but the temps have dropped so I'm happy. I'll be cooking all day so it helps to have cooler temps.

I felt the movement you conveyed on the page. It was stunning and oh so colorful. I simply adore the way you floated the images, too.
ReplyDeleteAs always I love your photos, but the sky shots are unbelievable. I've seen sunrises, but none as colorful as in these photos. They are incredible!!
