Hi Everybody!
Time is flying, hope it's flying well for you!
Yesterday I made a 10" tag with Klimt's image of
Adele Bloch-Bauer, which was featured in the wonderful
film 'Woman in gold'. I painted the tag with Maya gold in
turquoise and used a CWS stencil to add the squares
with pewter metallic paint. The image was fussy cut, and
surrounded by gold leafing in various shades. I also used some
gold rip-off foil to add some more gold shine here
and there. I doodled lots of swirls into the background
using gold pen, and gave Adele a coat of liquid glass. I
sewed the layers together, and added 2 tag-embellies
(thanks Donna!).
I am linking to Simon Monday challenge, use a stencil,
and to Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin.
And as I like the image, I had fun playing with it in my digital
programme, layering the images one over the
other to give this nice effect. The quote is, of course, from
Shakespeare's 'Merchant of Venice':
And I have another tag using torn and sewed paper for
