Last day of the sea....

Hi Everybody!

Today is the last day of the 'Sea' challenge at Art Journal Journey. Tomorrow our new theme will be starting, so be sure to come back and read all about it!
I have once again made a collage of all the pages I made for this month:

And I have one more painting to show. It was the first one I made, and then I wasn't realy happy with it, and forgot it, so here it is - a simple mixed media sea-scene, using painting, stamping, collage and doodling etc. A mermaid is floating around under the water, and a naughty sea-sprite is popping out of the water by the lighthouse, she is surely up to mischief. The waves were stamped with one of Ryn Tanaka's wonderful stamps, and then embossed. I cut around some of the waves to make a space to push the little sea-sprite through. The rest was drawn and painted, and the fish were collaged.

I had lots of visitors at my balcony this morning, sometimes they were queuing up for a free slot.

Who ate my food?

I'm still hungry....

This is my balcony:

The baby Jays are growing very quickly:

The thrush was a new visitor today:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  7. A wonderful page and I love your collaged art. Sorry I've not been around for a while, I decided not to put my computer on for a week, it was lovely, even started to read a book, but the trouble is that I have so much catching up to do.

  9. Wow, has it been a month already, wow! Another wonderful page, your swirly water waves are brilliant!! I've been meaning to ask you about your pens?? What brands do you use for the black and white? I have purchased several now and they are all garbage but yours look amazing. Love your bird pics, just what I needed to start my day! hugs :)

    1. I always use the pens from uniball signo, for me they're really the best ones, in black and white or colour.

  10. Great bird shots today. Ha-ha- love your words you put to them. I think your end of the month mosaics could almost be an art piece in themselves, and I actually like your final collage. Its got some great pieces to it, and maybe with a little more something (coming from me who keeps going back to things) it could become something you like. Have a great rest of your weekend.

  11. Your collage shows so much amazing and skilful painting, a quite miraculous output for the month.
Your last collage is fun and a suitable one to finish with. I like the chap bottom right, he has quite a personality.

I think your birds are coming as much for the publicity as for your food, and as each can't do his/her own selfie they "allow" you to take it. The pigeon is of the bluest blue.

    1. Some of them do like posing, especially the pigeon. I'll send them a tweet so they know they are on air, so to say.
