Hi Everybody!
I hope you had a great weekend, and wish us all a good week. Today was cold and windy, but I went out with a friend for a meal and then we walked to the Rhine, which was cold and grey to match the weather!
Today I have a piece to share for Alison's autumn colours challenge at AJJ.
And a little bit of spooky has crept into it:
And I have a last tag for my seasons challenge at Tag Tuesday
Some thinkies and funnies etc:
Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
I love the blue and orange colours in your first tag, and the second one is beautiful and so unusual. Have a great week, hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Deb! Autumn gives us wonderful colours. Have a great week! Hugs
DeleteGorgeous page and tag, thanks for the thinkies!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, much apreciated!
DeleteGhosts of Autumn past..FABulous painting Valerie and I love your tag it is gorgeous, glad you were out and about and have a great week..
ReplyDeleteluv CHRISSYxx
Thanks Chrissy, it's good to get out again even if it's cold and wet! Hugs!
DeleteFabulous tag and spooky journal page, love all the Autumn colours -like the sound of a senior GPS too not that I drive but could tell me why I have gone up the stairs and what I am looking for and maybe where did I put my glasses lol. Sounds like you are feeling better too.
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Thanks Carol. I would love a GPS which tells me why , what and where at home! I am slowly getting better and that is great!
DeleteThat's a great page and tag.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the squirrels... there are three who like to visit the garden and I enjoy watching them.
Wishing you a good week ahead.
All the best Jan

I love squirrels, too, and sometimes give them nuts, which they love! Have a great week!
DeleteBeautiful post Valerie-I enjoyed it with all the photos and art
ReplyDeleteHugs Kathy
Thanks, Kathy, BIG hugs!
DeleteI always enjoy visiting your blog. Your artwork is beautiful and interesting and the quotes and sayings are insightful and or funny!! For some reason the cottage in the fall scene really touched me today.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judee. When I see images like that, I often imagine that I'm walking around inside and that's fun!
DeleteI am very glad to hear, of course, that you were out eating with a friend, and then even made a perambulation down to the river. Even on a cool, gloomy day a good walk is therapeutic. The third of the three squirrel pictures is very appealing. The oaks around here have had a good mast year and every squirrel for miles around is busy gathering acorns. It’s fun to watch them go about their business. It’s Thanksgiving here, but since we have no family close, it will be a normal day for a Miriam and me. We will eat well, as we always do, but nothing special for the holiday. We have made squash soup a couple of times and have more squash in the counter. It’s really delicious. We buy from a local Mennonite farm and they also make excellent sauerkraut. Two nights ago we had Oktoberfest sausage and sauerkraut. We would have fit right in where you live, Valerie. Say hello to Heike for me. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteI wrote you a long answer and now it has disappeared, so sorry. But I want to wish you a happy Thanksgiving and good food - and wine- with Miriam this evening. Have a great week, look after yourselves!
DeleteHi Val, glad you had a good weekend as we all did, too. Have a lovely week, take good care of yourself, hugs, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, have a good week. Thanks for my surprise, love it! Hugs!
DeleteLoved your autumn piece, which is definitely worthy of a frame. Loved the colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Autumn is my favourite season!
DeleteToday might have been cold and grey for you but you certainly brightened the day with your gorgeous art work, all those colours. Interesting thoughts too. Happy creative week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela, my thoughts are always interesting!
DeleteAll the variations on autumn colors in your art works here are lovely. Only a few trees here have become dramatically colored, but there’s lots to look at.
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Thanks Mae, autumn is a lovely time. We sat outside a cafe today for a Cappuccino and watched the leaves falling, beautiful!
DeleteI love the autumn leaves on your first project and that tag is just over-the-top gorgeous! So glad you got to dine out with a friend and walk to enjoy the outdoors. It's windy and turning colder here today as well so the seasons are changing quickly! Have a great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. Glad you liked my creations, I had fun with them, too!
DeleteI like your latest AJJ piece Valerie. I especially like how a little bit of creepy crawled in. and you have some other lovely autumn views too. It was cold and quite wet at my house today. Autumn is here I guess. Have a great week and I hope you're feeling better. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, I always enjoy a little bit of spooky! Here it was dry but very windy, and Heike and I went out for lunch, and then to a Café for Cappuccino!
DeleteLovely post Valerie, good to hear you were out for lunch and a walk along the Rhine.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteFabulous autumnal makes! Your journal page is creepy and I love the autumnal leaves - perfect 😊. Take care and sending you happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo, much appreciated. I am slowly getting stronger and feeling better!
DeleteThank you so much for joining in with my AJJ challenge Valerie. Your page is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI love your tag too, so beautiful.
Hugs,
Alison
I love your autumnal page Valerie, and the fact that you have added the spooky figures in makes it all the more fun to see. The colours you have used are strong and autumnal and I love the bold blue background. The leaves, berries and all the natural autumnal things look so fabulous against it.
ReplyDeleteHope life is treating you well.
Hugs, Neet xx
