in last week at Tag Tuesday,, and Karen from Lunagirl
has chosen the winner of the image sheet,

On Tuesday we are starting our new challenge there
hosted by our lovely Wendy, who chose the theme:
🐦Birds and Nests🐦
As usual, you have 2 weeks to link your tag, and tags of all
formats are welcome.
I made a 10"mixed media tag, using a paper napkin
over partly peeled corrugated card:
It started like this:
Then I sewed the tag to a coordinating backing:
The nest was made from some Xmas band twisted
together and with added twigs. The eggs are art stones.
I glued it all with silicone glue:
I painted them with water-colours and glazed them:
I added more twigs:
The ticket and sentiment are stamps from Tim Holtz:
Today is Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big
welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang.
No cake again, sorry, I'm just knocked out,
but I made a coffee tag using a napkin and some
coffee dyed lace, all sewed together again:

Both tags are lovely, love the sweet nest on the first one, but I'm sure the coffee one is your fave! The photos are wonderful as always, lovely to see the spring flowers, we are enjoying them here, too. Have a good evening and look after yourself, hugs, Sarah

Two fabulous tags Valerie, I love the nest and eggs you made to add to the bird tag. the texture looks good and I loved your sewing on them both.

Oh my, I'm in awe of your beautiful tags! Your bird and nest tag is adorable, I love the image over the corrugated card, your use of stitching, the nest and painted stones for eggs and all the lovely elements you added to make it 3D - just perfect! ReplyDeleteHappy T day Valerie!!! I just LOVE both your tags!! I love how you combine paper and sewing.. I have seen that before but i have never tried it. You make it look beautiful! Did you know that Daffodils are toxic? Even to other plants.. I picked a few Daffodils last week before the snow and stuck them in a vase with other flowers and they quickly killed the other flowers... I see you put yours in a vase by themselves so maybe you already know that :) Hugs! deb

So here I am doing a belated comment. We've been away for a few days for my birthday and the campsite did not have wifi or electricity (my laptop battery is knackered and I can use it only on mains power). We had a lovely few days with good weather. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
