Mid-week this and that

Hi Everybody!
Today is cold, wet, wild and windy, and so I arrived back home
wet and tired, and plan on having an easy
afternoon with my feet up.

For Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's wonderful 'out and about' challenge,
I have a hybrid piece using my fave bears again (Serif). The background is a photo of the plastic lid I use as my palette. Family bear are
having a picnic for Dad's birthday, and he forgot to bring goodies for the kids
and has already emptied nearly all the bottles. Mother Bear
is not amused
:

For Paint Party Friday I have a double mixed media spread
in my 2nd 'new' journal, using a painted background, paper napkins
and stenciling. The quote is from Dylusions. I am also linking to Simon
Monday Challenge, make your own background:

We had some incredible skies again this week:

I discovered this strange, rusty fire hydrant on my walks,
I think it will be good for a steampunk piece sooner
or later:

Have a good week you all,
take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by

  2. The bears picnic made me smile Valerie - the way she has her hands on her hips you can really imagine her moaning at him for forgetting the goodies :)
Your journal spread is lovely - the birds are fab and love the colours of it all.
Nice skies - but my favourite was that hydrant very steampunk looking and also like a robot maybe.
Hope you have a lovely relaxing afternoon.

  17. Ah, yesterday was a wintery mix - I stayed in. But things are looking promising for a sunny Friday :-) Love that fire hydrant, it looks robot like - definitely steampunk inspiration. Great blue journal pages, nice hats on the birds, and paint pallets and wipe off cloths create great effects without any thought on our part! Best wishes for the remainder of the week, hope you can stay dry. Theresa xx

  19. A picnic would be so much fun right now. And even more fun with teddy bears. :) Also loving your journal spread a lot. I am so ready for flowers and spring and your flowers are very pretty on this page. Only 11 more days until winter is really over. And lastly, loving all the color in the sky. Wow. Its like being at a museum without having to pay the price of admission. :) Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika

  21. More great journal spreads ♥♥♥♥ The bears are always fun where ever the show up :) You did have some amazing skies for sure. WE had storms on Monday. A tornado struck about 2 miles from us, in the night . Hubby slept right through it and I laid there listening to it , thinking we should get up and go downstairs. Lots of damage where it struck but we didn't have any here.
