Hi Everybody!
Our theme at Tag Tuesday this week is
'Whatever the weather'.
For my tag I used a piece of the paper I painted last week. The lady
is a home-made stencil and has been airbrushed.
And we are beginning a new challenge at
Be inspired by the photo collage.
Be inspired by one of the photos or colours in your project. As always, projects of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to link your work.
I combined my piece with a vintage map (courtesy of Wikipedia). The map is a hand-drawn one from the 15th century, but was re-drawn from one made in the 13th century, so gives us a medieval view of the world as people then knew it.

The Rhine is still very full, the heavy rains are keeping it well filled.
I spent a lot of time just watching the ships, large and small, and letting the world float by:

I love your jazzy dancing lady and the gorgeous background. The tag is a wonderful contrast to the map, which is also really lovely. The moodboard is beautifully put together, I think they are all your photos? Love the ships, too, some are really enormous. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWonderful tag, using your bright and colorful background. Your lady stencil is fantastic too! However, your map page today is my favorite. You created a wonderful spread in your journal incorporating the roses with the maps. So many ships up and down the Rhine. It would be fun to just sit and watch the activity with a warm cup of coffee. Hope it is warmer and drier today.

Your painted paper has gone to great use, and your handmade stencil certainly came in handy for this tag. It's probably quite appropriate since there is still lots of water floating around in much of the world, or at least the northern hemisphere right now.

I never tire seeing the boats on the Rhine. The fact that there are so many of them in one of your photos shows how busy that river truly is. Hope your Wednesday is wonderful.

What a busy part of the Rhine you live on and I would sit for hours watching all the boats and seeing the wonderful plants along the way. I hope your weather improves soon then it might drift our way as well

Silhouetted lady looks marvellous against the many-coloured tag.
ReplyDeleteNice combination of challenges with the old hand-drawn map and roses. I wonder what drawing implement they used to draw the map and how they knew what to draw and how well it closely showed the Real World in those times?
That is such a lovely photo collage to inspire us.
I think sailors were those who were able to draw maps in those days, probably with a quill and home made ink. They really did a good job!

ReplyDeleteCool lady you created. She looks great airbrushed onto your tag. Great boats and ships on the river. We have bigger tankers that come in as the water is quite deep. They still need the tugs to guide them in though. Hear the toots and whistles all the time. xox
ReplyDeleteThe tag background and stencil are fab, the colours are so bright and cheery that they bring the sentiment you've included to life. I love the medieval map and the beautiful pink roses, yet another wonderful addition to AJJ! I'm glad you had a dry day, at last, to sit and watch the world go by.
