Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend, have a good one! We have been promised sunshine for Saturday, so I hope the weather prophets are right! After that it's supposed to get cold and stormy, so I'm hoping to make the best of any good days!

Today I am sharing 2 more pieces inspired by Lifebook taster sessions- This lesson was called 'painted prayer to love yourself' by Alexis Cohen. I have once again used autumn colours to fit to Tracey's October challenge at AJJ

And this was inspired by a lesson from the lovely Tiare Smith, the colour of play:

And I'm not done yet - I have a tag for Pinky's orange and purple challenge at Tag Tuesday:

Some funnies / thinkies:

Watching the dawn coming on Friday:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  5. You have been really enjoying that taster series, haven't you? I haven't had time to watch the videos, but I have seen all the projects and so far there are only a couple I feel I could create. Cohen's lady turned out great and is a lovely entry for Tracey's theme at AJJ.

I saw Smith's entry and thought I might give it a try when I have some free time to recreate it. I like your interpretation a lot.

You have created a darling tag, too. I am loving those colors together.

I especially liked the last funny. I agree wholeheartedly, although I find it easier and quicker to use a calculator when I have a long list of figures to add.

Lovely sky shots, too, dear Valerie.

  7. I am quite sure, Valerie, that when you look back on the record of your oeuvre, this will stand out as the apex of your Orange Period. Orange is associated with fall, of course, and were it anyone but you, one might conclude that it was a fall from grace. But you? Never! You are the unsullied, untarnished, unassailable, resolute and honourable Queen of Balconia. In addition your record of discovery of avian forms both strange and beautiful will remain forever the highlight of ornithological texts the world over. Orange for you will symbolize success evermore. The weekend is here. Time to walk among the oranges, kick a few leaves if you can get your feet coordinated, and stop for a delicious cappuccino. Sounds good to me! Hugs and kisses. David

    1. Thanks David! Orange is a colour I really like. And you're right, I can't fall from grace, that happened a long time ago! Success evermore would be nice, too, but on the other hand I'm lazy, and am quite happy when I manage to get my blog done! I did a lot of leaf crunching this morning along the Rhine, and I stopped at the bakery for a cappuccino and a lemon bar - yummy - and the lovely lady there carried my tray out for me so I could people watch for half an hour. It's sunny today after a misty start this morning, but rather cold, only 16°, but with the sun it was perfect. The photos will follow on Monday. I wish you and Miriam a happy weekend, take care and have fun! Hugs to you both!

  9. Such a lovely serene face for your journal today. She works so well with the orange shades you have chosen - it is such a joyous colour and always lovely to work with, especially at this time of the year.
Lovely tag too, such a rich blue for the background works so well with the autumnal leaves.
Thanks for the funnies, just what I needed.
