Midweek Mix

Hi Everybody!

At Moo Mania and more we are starting a new challenge -
use your scraps
As always, project of all formats, not just moos, are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to link to us.
I used lots of mini scraps and stamps to cover a small composition book. I gave it a coat of varnish to make it more durable,
and added the vintage car as embellishment.

I used the rest of the scraps to cover a little wooden heart, which had first been painted from both sides with gesso. This one got a coat of crackle varnish and a heart as embellishment.

For Art Journal Journey, winter wonderland,  I made a hybrid page using a photo taken in the fields behind the house, combined with a water coloured background and some silhouettes.

On Monday night the moon rose, glowing like an orange in space:

Later it looked more white, but it was a fantastic sight.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  4. WOW...what a great post today. I love your idea for the front of a journal or booklet, allowing the book to open and not spoil the cover. The heart piece is equally beautiful and then your winter page with one of your photos for the background makes me smile. Lastly, your photos of the full moon are marvelous. We have had some beautiful views here of the full moon floating in the clouds.
    Hugs,
    C

  14. Beautiful use of colors and pieces. Back in my crafty days... Oh wait, I haven't been crafty since I was 15 years old. Guess that means I can enjoy other people's creativity more. =)

  20. I'm running behind since I was out all day and evening. What a great challenge at Moo Mania. I like the book cover, but I simply adore the hearts. This is a real beauty.

The moon was so bright here, too. I like how you captured it through the tree limbs. I can see it right now out my office window, but it's not as pretty as yours.
