Midweek Post

Hi Everybody!

I was out and about quite early today, as I needed to visit my doctor and hand over all of the reports from the clinic and collect a prescription. The weather was nice, so I was able to walk there  and back leisurely. This afternoon it's cold and stormy, so I'm not going out again! Good weather to stay home and make art! This piece was made while I was still in the clinic. There's the text of a Frank Sinatra song on it again, 'Fly me to the moon, and let me live among the stars'. It's an A3 piece painted with acrlic paints and markers and with added glitter. I am linking to Alison's 'Play it again, Sam' challenge at AJJ. I will also be linking to Rain's Thursday Art Date tomorrow, her theme is branches and leaves. My lady has leaves in her hair and in the sky, and my photos all have leaves and branches:

Some photos of my walks:

And some funnies:

Have  a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  9. It seems quaint in a way, Valerie, that you walked over to the doctor and physically handed her the reports. I thought that these days all of this was done at the speed of light by internet connections. In the meantime, i have fallen in love with the lady with leaves intertwined in her hair, she of the luscious lips. I feel sad that I will have to tell Miriam that our time together is coming to an end as I contrive and scheme to have this beauty whisked over here for me. The fact that I am old enough to be her father has nothing to do with it. It didn't prevent the sincere and intellectual superior Melania from hooking up with the Golden Turnip, for true love, of course. His wealth and the rings worth the GDP of small countries had nothing to do with it. Your countryside looks verdant and very appealing. Our spring is mercurial to say the least. On Sunday we were wiping the sweat from our brows and this morning there is a slight dusting of snow. I will have to let Mother Nature know that it's almost May and to get her amusement some place else. Take good care of your self and stay well. Hugs and kisses, David

    1. Normally the reports are sent with PDFs but we are always handed a paper copy of everything they have done, treated, meds, etc. I'm glad you like the new lady, I made her specially for you! But stay with Miriam, this one is very fickle! I can't imagine how anyone would ever want to be together with DT, not for all the money in the world! The weather here is also very changeable - hot, cold, stormy and today it's warm and sunny! This is Mother Nature's revenge for what mankind has done to the planet! Big hugs, Valerie

  34. I hope that you are feeling much better and have benefitted from this latest stay at the clinic. Lovely photos from your walks for us to look at.
I am amazed that your lady is so huge. I once did a workshop (online) where we had to draw a portrait of a geisha and that was on A3, it scared me so much that it remains unfinished in my craftroom.
Yours however is lovely and I do enjoy seeing how you incorporate leaves into the hair of some of your ladies. I also like the fact that you use blue quite a lot in your paintings, is that a favourite colour?
A delightful piece to illustrate a great song.
    Take care
