T sTands for This and ThaT

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing us all a good, new week! We had a sunny weekend here with warmer temperatures which were very welcome.

Today I have another piece to share for my heavy metal challenge at AJJ:

I made an A3 mixed media page with a metallic lizard, stars and some gold spots,  some of which look black. Sorry for the bad pics, the weather was awful when I took the photos, so the lighting was not right:

This evening Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party will begin, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang. I didn't get round to visit everybody last week, sorry, I had a couple of bad days. Here the photos were taken in Neuss,  neighbouring town:

My cappuccino. I love their cups!

I am showing more pictures of the street festival in Duisburg in 2018:

The Lifesaver fountain is from Nicki de Saint Phalle, who was famous for her 'nanas'

Then we decided to take a boat trip through the harbour
These were the bathroom decorations on the ship:

The gates of the harbour:

 Old warehouses:

More photos will follow in my next post!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Crawling lizards have such cool shapes. I can just picture him walking across your page. You made another beauty my friend. And your T photos are making me quite hungry as I am reading this right before dinner, but that ice creams looks yummier than anything I'll have to eat. Smile. Loving your photos too, looks like it was a fun day out and memories too. Happy early T day, happy new week, and I hope no bad days this week. Hugs-Erika

  9. That is one high fashion lizard, Valerie, with the circles and swirls. It is probably perfect camouflage to hide from view in the average craftsperson's workshop! I hope you walked at least fifteen kilometres on your visit to Neuss. You would need at least that to work off some of the calories gained from those decadent treats. I think they made a mistake and served you enough for the whole town. I hope that your tests will go well and that you will be able to go home soon. Most of all I hope that this long stay in the clinic has achieved its purpose and that you are overall new and improved! It is no fun coping with issues that don't want to go away. Spring is now very close so at least you will be returning home during the season of growth and rebirth with flowers blooming and birds singing. It is still cold here. Yesterday the high was only minus 8, but it was gloriously sunny, and altogether quite pleasant. I will blog later today about what Miriam and I saw yesterday. Take good care. Hugs and kisses. David

    1. Thanks David, I like to have fashionable and funky lizards! I didn't eat all that I've myself, there were three of us! I am doing well after my stay here, but my pancreas is inflamed and needs to be investigated again. I hope they find a solution. The weather here is very mild, spring is springing! Looking forward to reading your news later, hugs to you both!

  12. That's an adorable lizard. Giving it some heavy metal added to its beauty. It's got real class and is beautiful. Thanks for yet another great entry at AJJ.

Your cappuccino looked wonderful in that adorable cup. I also loved the desserts you shared. Really makes me hungry, dear. These are wonderful entries for T this Tuesday.

I remember that post and that large Nana fountain. That was a fun look back. I'm so glad you shared it again.

  13. I forgot to mention that you have NO reason to feel bad about missing a few T participants. Two weeks ago, I only got through about half the participants and I'm the HOST. That may be unforgivable on my part, but certainly NOT on yours!!

  22. With the stars and labels your page makes me think of a constellation page in an old book. The Gecco with the labels for names of other stars or planets. Oh my! The strawberry sundae and the other desserts! I really like the strawberry sundae dish. The fountain is just awesome and the street fair looks fun. Hopefully, we'll be able to get back to those outdoor activities soon. Take care

  32. I'm sorry to hear you had some bad days. I guess you get good days and bad days. I think I read somewhere that you will be going home the first week in March. That is something to look forward to.
Your lizard is great. He/she's a classic. We see lizards of that design painted on houses here and also as decoration on patios.
Your photos of your outing are beautiful. I really like the Saint Phalle sculpture.
And that ice cream! It's not a good thing to look at just before lunch. My mouth waters. My mother loves things like that. When we were younger, and if a restaurant featured a dessert like that one. She would forego her lunch and just have the dessert!
I liked the photos of the boat trip, even if it was just the pleasure of seeing people without masks.
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,

  33. Fabulous artworks indoors and outdoors... your lizard looks wonderful in the sandy colour tones. We've also got warmer weather here this week... we went from -14 to +14 in three days! But the snow and frost is due to return, so I hope the plants don't get too excited in the meantime.

  38. Sorry to hear you were not well for a couple of days, hope that has now passed well and truly.
Your lizard is a very happy one with his beautiful gold shiny coat and the lovely patterns that are all over his body. Makes for a lovely page in your journal.
Love the menu (I am assuming it is a menu) for the Cafe Roma, what a beautiful collage graces that cover. Gorgeous colours that all blend so nicely.
Mmmm, the teacup, so pretty, how cool would it be to have a full set like that for when friends drop in to see you.
    Hugs, Neet x
