Today I am sharing another hybrid piece for Elle's Books, cats and tea challenge at AJJ. The background is from an old musicbook I have. The bird is my balcony bird again, and I added some digis and photos:

DeleteGood morning, Valerie. Happy weekend. The cats look lovely, as cats always do, as long as they stay away from my birds. Sweet little kitties can change into merciless killers in an instant. I wonder if Charlie Chaplin kept cats. From what I know of him he preferred young women! If they scratched he probably enjoyed it. I bet they purred too. Today I will be leading a walk for about twenty dedicated bird enthusiasts and have to be out of the house by about 7:15 to greet them all on their arrival at our scheduled rendezvous. The day looks to be just about perfect, cool this morning, rising to around twenty degrees by mid afternoon. There will be quite a few novices on this outing and I should be able to find a few “good” birds for them. Yesterday, Miriam made focaccia bread so our sandwiches will be delicious. Last time we visited my daughter, however, we left our thermos behind, so there will be no mid morning coffee. Wait, I have a wide mouth thermos for soup. We could adapt that for coffee. And there is apple cake too. Last evening we made a dish called Indian chicken for dinner. It’s always enough for two nights so it will be easy when we return home after a long day in the field. Maybe I’ll even pick up a bottle of wine on the way home. So there you have it, good birding, good food, good company, good wine. Not a bad day! Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteI only show good Kitties. My cats never went out, I kept them safe at home, and they could only view birds through the window - which was probably like TV for them - and hiss if birds came too near.
DeleteSounds like you had a very good time yesterday, with wonderful food, and I hope today will be just as good. Your weather sounds better than ours, we've got 14° and wind, but I still enjoyed my morning walk to the Rhine! I hope you have a great time with your group, and enjoy your nice sandwiches!
