Thursday/ Friday post

Hi Everybody!

Today I have some art for various challenges. First off I have an autumnal piece for Elle's challenge at AJJ, tell me a story. The story is a poem from Keats. The background is a photo of a misty morning taken from my window, the rest was added digitally:

The second piece is meant for Nicole's Friday Face Off:

And last but not least, a Halloween piece for Rain's TADD:

Some thinkies/funnies:

I will also be linking to Gillena's Friday art fun.

Sorry, not much bla-bla today, I am very exhausted again.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. This post is like an art museum visit Valerie. You have so much wonderful art today. Using a poem as a story is a great idea, and your page to go with the poem is also amazing. And I like how you used those scraps of book print on your page. And of course, your Halloween page is lots of fun for the season. No wonder why you are tired-smile. I found the comment you left on my post that didn't show up. It was in my spam file for some reason. Oh Google is doing it again. I hope you have a wonderful end to your week and get plenty of rest. Hugs-Erika

  6. Beautiful art pieces especially the first two. The 3rd is a spooky one. Thanks for the funnies. I like the childhood punishments becoming an adult's goal.

  7. Now Valerie, I am easily confused at the best of times, but when a post entitled "Thursday/Friday" shows up on my blog on Wednesday, my sense of delirium is only magnified! I have taken into account the time difference and realize that it was a tad after midnight in Balconia-by-the-Rhine, so it begins to make sense. Your autumnal piece is lovely, the highlight being the Blackbird on the branch in the centre. Anyone who has ever heard one of these birds sing appreciates what magical notes are produced to delight human senses, to say nothing of what it might do to excite a female Blackbird. A Nightingale may have sung in Berkley Square, but I think on balance, I would take a Blackbird. Get lots of rest. Hugs and kisses - David

  8. That photo is perfect for Elle's theme and I love how you have provided a frame with all those other elements around it - it is beautiful. The way you have adorned it makes the photo look almost ethereal.
Love your face painting and your Halloween one has the most beautiful blues and greens - stunning use of colour in both pieces and lovely composition
Hope you are feeling a little rested and stronger each day. Rest and take things easy, please.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  20. I have thoroughly enjoyed these wonderful art pieces you have given us. I love the misty Keats poem. It is a great take on Elle's theme at AJJ, too. And I always love your faces. This one is divine with the writing and the pen nibs. Gorgeous. And of course, I think your witch is wonderful and so is the black cat. And finally, I can actually relate to Snoopy.

Take good care of you, dear.

  30. So, where does one start ... your artwork is wonderful. I love misty mornings and can't resist taking a photo every time I get up to one. Yours is lovely and the the poem perfect for it. I love what your face lady has to say ... so simple and yet profound. All of it is beautiful. So after a lifetime of waiting, you arrive as a witch :) That made me smile and your Thinkies and Funnies made me LOL ... especially your cat and his "Once Upon a Time" . I guess you have to live with a cat to know that that is not really funny, but it is really funny, Ha! Great post Valerie and rest well. We all need to take a break now and then ...
