New Challenge at More Mixed Media

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at More Mixed Media Challenge Blog. Our challenges are always anything mixed media goes, this time with optional purple. You have 4 weeks to join us with your creations, so hope to see you there. I have once again used my home-made giant face stamp, as I stamped a whole pile a couple of years back and am using them now one by one and filling them with colour. The face was stamped onto an A3 white page. I then added the coloured auras using Gelatos, felt tips and brush-pens. I did some sewing and added some patterns. The word 'vision' was stamped  (LaBlanche). The sentiment was hand-written and I added a feather as embellishment:

I have more photos from our visit to the castle to share:

We much enjoyed walking though the magnificent park surrounding the castle:

Does anyone know what this plant is?

Loved this twisty cypress tree:

The bee hotel:

Having a break:

The peacock again - photos taken by Harry:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  9. The addition of the feather gives your face a nice bit of whimsy. Love it! I love the pictures of the castle grounds, too. Such a beautiful place to spend some time. As for that mystery plant, it kinda looks like a Chinese lantern plant to me.

    Have an awesome day!

  16. I had intended to get here sooner, but my electricity was off AGAIN yesterday afternoon and evening. I'm SO tired of these storms.

Your mixed media spread is fabulous. I love the stamp you carved and the feather you placed on her forehead. The colors are so rich, too. A genuine mixed media beauty.

I love the castle photos. The roses, the other flowers, the roses, the sculptures, the roses, your glowing face, the roses, Harry photographing ROSES, and did I mention roses?
