Today we are starting a new challenge at
More Mixed Media Challenge Blog.
As always, our challenges are anything mixed
media goes, and with the optional extra
of using blue.

I was rather stumped for ideas while I was
feeling so groggy, so opted for an acrylic
and pastel copy of one of Van Gogh's beautiful
night scenes. I am also linking to

I made a hybrid tag, using a hand-painted BG
and an image from LaBlanche
These photos were taken on this day one year back.
The raven is always down at the Rhine
fishing along with the ducks and gulls:

ReplyDeleteI adore your interpretation of Starry Night. It is lovely, and it has lots of blue in it. I like the church, the water, and the sky, too.
ReplyDeleteYour tag is fabulous. I got a laugh out of "looking forward." That was very clever.
I think a year ago, we were covered in snow, while today we are in a deep freeze and no moisture for a very long time. It's amazing to see what life was like on the Rhine a year ago, and yet, it must look very similar there today, too. So glad you are NOT venturing out because I worry so much about you. You have NO idea how much I worry that you are not getting well as fast as you should. Please take care and stay safe and warm.
Love your 'Val-Gogh', I wish I could do things like that. The tag is great, love your humour, as always. Lovely photos, too, I'm sure the Rhine must be full to the brim just now, I hope it doesn't flood. We all slept in today, that was nice, no appointments to get up for and no school for the kids. ReplyDeleteStarry Night is my favorite painting. Yours is a wonderful interpretation and homage to Vincent. The crow looking out at the Rhine makes me think of the man in your tag looking forward to the possibilities of the new year. Feel better.
