Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - enjoy!
For Elizabeth's summertime love theme at
Art Journal Journey I have a hybrid piece using 'my' head
which was been filled with summer dreams....
For Go Tag Thursday, button, I made a sewing themed tag
using a vintage bone button. The image was printed onto canvas,
fringed and sewn.:
And for Wilma's delicious cake theme at Tag Tuesday
I have another tag, this time
featuring the unfortunate Marie Antoinette
and a muffin. And there is a button on it, so it is also suitable for
Go Tag Thursday :
Last but not least I have some more views of the botanical gardens:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
What a fun filled post, Valerie. I love the button tag that you sewed the bone button on. It's a beauty and reminds me of my grandmother's sewing machine. Marie looks really good with the cake on her head instead of a crown.
ReplyDeleteThe wonderful photos of the botanical gardens reminded me how wonderful close-ups of veggies can be. My pumpkin died, but I love the squash/zucchini that you took close-ups of. And of course the sunflowers and cone flowers are beautiful.
But, for me, the most impressive was the summertime love entry that came from your head. It is filled with all things I love about summer and the way you chose to share it using the label maker, which is ingenious. Thanks for sharing it with Art Journal Journey today, dear friend.
Another post filled to the brim with wonders. Love your head and all that's in it, and of course the sewing tag. I remember old buttons like that from my Granddad. The Marie tag is fun, love the blue and the wonderful muffin, yummy! Great photos of the Botanical gardens, veggies make great pics as well as flowers.Have a fun day, see you on Sunday, hugs, Sarah

Have a great weekend! It has cooled down for a few days here and then the heat will return.
First off, your header banner is fantastic! Love the art work this week, especially the printed on cloth one. My mother had a sewing machine like that. You did a great job on that Lovin' Summer piece. But Marie with the cake hat is my favorite.

Sabine
