Journal Pages Architecture

Hi everybody!
I have made some more journal pages for the challenge at Art Journal Challenge

I have built up layers of colour, stamping and  tissue transfers etc. I was trying to convey the idea that our towns are all built on layers of the past, which can sometimes be seen and which are sometimes covered, but are nevertheless still there, building, shaping and influencing the foundations of the world as we know it.
I used acrylic paint for the background, and pastel chalks to give more colour to the pages. I have used two quotes, from Sir Winston Churchill and Goethe.

Have a great day you all! Take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!

  7. Your journal pages are always so interesting, and it is true what you say. Built on layers. When I go to places that are ancient, or old, I can always feel the energy of the past still lingering. Canada, especially the west, does not have that feel - too young. I can feel it along the west coast where there was a huge native civilization. You have such a great collection of stamps, something for every subject. Love your colours too and the layering. hugs, Donna
