New Challenge at TIOT

Hi Everybody!

We had a long weekend here, so I have enjoyed being really lazy for three days, and I must say I might repeat this at another time when the weather is bad! There's something very therapeutic about reading, catching up on mail, and watching some films on TV.

Today we are starting a new challenge at TIOT.  The theme is

🦋 butterflies 🦋

As always, projects of all formats are welcome, and you have 2 weeks to link to us. Have a look at our blog to see the beautiful inspiration from my teamies!
The lady in my piece was a distant relation, I just know she was called Emily:

I am also linking to Elle's language challenge at AJJ - beauty speaks its own language.

I have had lots of visitors on my balcony and window boxes, they are all hungry just now:

I love to see plants and lichens growing out of the cracks in the castle walls:

More visitors:

An evening rainbow after a day of clouds and rain:

The pigeon looking to see if it's still worth visiting:

Beautiful clematis:

This one is also always hungry:

And the magpie is a speed eater:

The poor jay came for some food after the rain:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

T sTands for Tag Tuesday and more on Monday

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Here it was mostly cloudy and stormy, but we did see the sun a few times, so that was good.

This evening we will be meeting up at Elizabeth's for our weekly link party, where we join up and show what we've been drinking and more. So here I would like to welcome all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit. I made a journal page, which I am also linking to Elle's language challenge at AJJ, as coffee is one of the languages I speak fluently!

I'm looking forward to being able to drink coffee outside again in the not too distant future:

Some home baked apricot crumble bars, help yourselves!

And I also have another tag for Pinky's fruit or veggie challenge at Tag Tuesday, which still runs for a week. The vintage script is from Gecko Galz, the fruit from the Graphics Fairy:

And various photos from past weeks:

I love to stop and watch the horses grazing, it's so relaxing:

This is a fountain with a model of the town in 1700. You can still find your way with it. And I'm hoping the tables and chairs will soon be back!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - enjoy!

On Thursday I had to travel by tram to the other side of town. I was happy that the trams were not full, everybody has to wear a medical mask, and all the ventilation flaps on the windows have to stay open all the time. I had to collect my new 'Ausweis' - identity card. It took a long time to get it because of Covid, but now I have a new one with biometric functions, and look like I could be on a wanted poster! How people manage to make these official photos so horrible, I don't know!

I read something in the paper that cheered me up this week. It was that animal protection groups are working with drones which have heat active cameras so that they can scan fields before the farmer ploughs them, and rescue young animals or birds from being mangled by the machines. A great idea that volunteers help to save lives this way.

I have a digital journal page for Elle's language challenge at AJJ - this time it's about the language of chocolate:

The ducks, geese and gulls are all back at the Rhine now:

And I have more pictures from the wild-life park taken at another visit. I'm pleased to say they are now opening up again, but you have to order a ticket in advance to keep control of the number of visitors:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
