T sTands for TIOT and more

Hi Everybody!

Today a new challenge is starting at TIOT. I  have been asked to join the TIOT team again, and it's like going home, as I was in the DT there for quite some time.  Thanks to Yvonne and Avril for asking me back! The challenge this time is to use black, white and one other colour.  You have 2 weeks to join us, and projects of all formats are welcome.

I made an A3 journal page which was given a coat of white gesso. I painted and splashed over it with diluted ink in turquoise. The birds were stenciled with black archival ink and the feather was doodled.

I added lots of stripes, zigzags and circles so I can also link to my geometric shapes challenge at AJJ. The sentiment was computer generated:

Today is also Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang.

A photo from the days when the cafes were still open - I hope we will soon be able to visit them again:

This was my breakfast one day - a whole-wheat croissant with pumpkin seeds, yummy:

My neighbour is to blame for this one - she brought me some delicious apple cake:

I made a pot of kohlrabi cream soup, served with sour cream and roasted pumpkin seeds:

And for those who can't go shopping, some photos from our shops here.
Lots of beautiful crockery and vases etc:

And the stationer's is always my fave shop, and has been here at the same place since the middle of the 19th century:

And armed with mask and gloves I went shopping there. It was early in the morning so I was the only customer:

Monday mix

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I took a day off on Sunday and stayed home, did various necessary chores in the morning, cooked a tasty soup for lunch and spent the afternoon crafting and watching 'Lewis' on TV at the same time. And it was an enjoyable day!

I have another journal page for my challenge at AJJ. For those of you who are fed up with geometric shapes there are just three more to come!

This is a hybrid piece using a hand-painted background and some geometric shapes punched digitally in Serif. The eye of Horus, the bird and the cat Bastet are my drawings:

And I have another tag for my anything goes challenge at Tag Tuesday.
Before the embellishments:

Finished:

And some photos from my walks:

Spring is such a lovely time!

Have a great new week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Sunday post

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend as much as possible under the circumstances. It was cooler here today, and started off grey and cloudy, but in the afternoon the sun came out again.

For AJJ I have another hybrid journal page for my geometric shapes challenge. The background was hand painted, textured and dripped. The silhouettes were added digitally and the sentiment is from Leonardo da Vinci:

Here at home I have done a lot of reading, thanks to Kindle I have as many new books as I want. And I have been sewing more masks. They are not perfect, I am still having difficulties with my fingers, but they will do the job. And I am using up lots of recycled scraps, which is good. I have given away more than 30, and have more now for those who still need them:

And flowers brighten my day:

Some photos taken on my walks:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
