Autumn impressions

Hi Everybody!

Another week is flying by, autumn is stretching  its fingers towards us with cooler temperatures, rain, shorter days and changing colours in nature.
And I like it!

Today I am sharing another tag for Joan's lovely 'trees' challenge at
Tag Tuesday. I used some painted and textured card for the background, matted with some yellow card. I sewed some painted strips on, and added 2 TH branch tree die-cuts. The birds were made with a Martha Stewart punch. The gold Stickles represent the autumn leaves. I chose the title because at the moment we still have a chance to save nature and the world around us by doing something to stop the universal climate change:

Last week I showed this handmade album. Now it is finished and filled with a selection of varied journal pages. I am showing a few here:

The Hebrew text is the first verse of Genesis - In the beginning God created heaven and earth, and the earth was without form, and void....

And I wanted to show a few of the journals I have made in the past few years, at least those that I still have:

Sorry about my feet, my arms weren't long enough to stand farther back!

This Frida Kahlo album is made to be like her blue house:

Midweek post

Hi Everybody!

It's Wednesday already, the days are flying. We had autumn weather here today, cooler, windy  and with some much needed rain. The farmers are busy ploughing the fields, always followed by hundreds of gulls and crows, all looking for tid-bits. I always enjoy walking by the Rhine and through the fields.

Today I am sharing an A3 journal page from the folder of 'found and unfinished' pages. I'm still not really happy with it, but I like the quote I added, and the sewing. The background was gessoed, stamped and then brayered over with some pastel colours. The squares and circles were stamped and have some added Stickles. The dragonfly and other stamps are from Lawrence and Morgan.'Live' is a Sizzix die-cut. I have the same quote on my light box which keeps me company in my arty kitchen:

The day got off to a great start - I love watching the world around me wake up:

Autumn is definitely in the air:

Beautiful skies in the  afternoon:

A farmer's work is never done - and the freshly turned earth smelled so good:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
