Midweek post

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all enjoying a good week and keeping safe.

Today I am sharing a  journal page made in my A5 journal last week. I used a freebie sheet of affirmations given by Tam of Willowing arts. I cut myself three simple paper dolls and used the affirmations for faces:

  4. I love these paper dolls and their unusual faces. And it is nice to see the little snowfall. I don't think you had much snow last year, so these views look nice with the white. Hope all is well! Hugs-Erika

  9. Positive thoughts are important for all of us, Valerie, for ourselves and how we view others. This is a very creative way to convey the sentiments that help to carry us through life. You are always full of great ideas! The scenes you show us today are quite wintry, with lots of snow. The pictures might well have been taken right here in Ontario, where we still have a little covering of snow, although the temperature is so up and down, it comes and goes. if I am not mistaken there is little hope for a White Christmas where I live. Last evening Miriam and I lit candles for dinner, which was chicken parmesana, pasta, and a mélange of sautéed vegetables (bell peppers, onions, garlic, zucchini, mushrooms), with a bottle of Shiraz to help it all down, and sat at the table and chatted long after we had finished eating, sipping Sambuca. And we did this for no reason at all, so perhaps we have learned something of the value of life, and what it means to share. Have a wonderful day. Love from us both. Hugs and kisses. David

    1. This was just a bit of fun with my limited stash here and to motivate myself. The snow only lasted one day, today is sunny, cold and dry! I think it's great that you and Miriam had a candle light dinner with all the trimmings, making the ordinary extraordinary is definitely the best way to go! Keep going along that route, enjoy your life, take care. I just came back from art therapy, that was a pleasant 2hours. Hugs to you both!

  22. What a positive and lovely journal page you created. I love how you cut the dolls and created the positive affirmations. This was very clever and took very little room in your journal, even if it was 3-D. It's a lovely entry for Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.

Wow, that sliver of moon, the crows, and that snow. More than just a dusting in my opinion.

I was reading Sirkkis's latest post earlier and saw she wrote Dec. 13 was the winter solstice. I panicked and thought I had missed your birthday. Thankfully, that is not true. I'm going to wish you a happy birthday early, just in case my frozen brain forgets or gets stuck in the ice and snow swirling around me today.
