Hi Everybody!
Hope you all had a great weekend and are now ready for the new week ahead. I'm not! Today I have hybrid pieces for 2 challenges . The first is for Chris' challenge at AJJ - 0n all fours. I have lots of little, four-footed creatures, some of which are from Beatrice Potter:
And for Michele's challenge at Tag Tuesday I have a tag using a gothic doorway:
I took more flowers in the garden, but can't find them!
And some funnies / thinkies:
From David Zinn:
A friend asked me to paint her horse. OMG, not the sort of face I am good at. I hope the horse won't shout at me if I ever get to see it! This is the first try, I will keep going till it looks better!
And this was a lesson from Ida Anderson:
Have a great start in the new week!
Take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!
Good morning, You are a fabulous artist!! I love your horse hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, hugs!
DeleteYou have some great art today Valerie-including the horse. I like how he looks a lot. He has a loving face, and I really like the diamonds that run down his face too. And great tag. That class must have been excellent because your face is also. I hope you get ready for the new week soon, but even if you're not, the week will come and you will get through it. Smile. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYes, we have to be ready, want it or not! Hugs!

Great creations, wonderful photos and paintings. Anesha
ReplyDeleteThanks Anesha, hugs!
DeleteBeautiful art! I love the face and tag and page. The bunnies are so cute and the bluebells so pretty. Hope this week is an easy one for us both. I somehow pulled the muscle at the base of my fingers on my left hand opening a mayonaise jar! How pitiful is that? The achy pain is driving me nuts and I can't lift or hold much. Of all the stupid things, lol. XOX
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear it, hope it will soon get better! Hugs!
DeleteBravo!!! Luv that coffee thinkie. Your bunnies are so cute and luv the hothic arch tags. Happy Sunday😊
ReplyDeleteMuch♡love
Thanks Gillena, hugs!
DeleteReally enjoying the new blog header with those 2 relaxing animals. They look so peaceful and cute. Great faces and tag this week too and I'm sure the horse won't mind if your painting isn't perfection. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. NJ on everything. Enjoy your week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI love those goats, they live in a wonderful park with a little farm, and are cared for by people with Down Syndrome, who do a great job.
DeleteBeautiful art Valerie, I always enjoy the thinkies.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, enjoy your week!
DeleteI am glad to see that you have been horsing around, Valerie. That’s always fun. I am sure that you will be creating more equine art and we will all look forward to seeing it. Mellow mares and snorting stallions, frisky foals and fillies, maybe even darling donkeys, how about ambitious asses? Now, I could expand on that, but better I don’t. Stormy Daniel’s might be able to add a word or two, though. I hope the clinic is proving beneficial and that you are benefitting daily from your stay there. We all look forward to the day you tell us you are going home, though. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteAmbitious asses? Sounds like politicians! I will be going home on Thursday of next week, and that makes me happy! I need to keep trying to paint horses or other animals, that will be my challenge when I am home! And I wull have more time for myself, that's great! BIG hugs xxxxxxx
DeleteThe “horse face” looks great. It is a challenge!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week. I hope you are home or soon will be.
best, mae at maefood.blotspot.com
Indeed, life is a challenge, and painting is a good therapy. I go home on Thursday of next week, great!
DeleteI love all the art today, Valerie. I'm impressed with the horse. They're tough to paint -- so much soul in their faces and so I say, well done. I know every try you'll like more and more.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, now I will keep trying till I get a real-looking horse!
DeleteYour faces are cute whether horse or human. Keep drawing and painting. It is great therapy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, art is really therapy! Hugs!
DeleteI always enjoy seeing your art.
ReplyDeleteI think you've done very well on the horse, I like it's diamond markings.
Wishing you a good week ahead.
All the best Jan

Your horse is fabulous Valerie! I love the Bunny page for my theme too! Hope you are enjoying your week, hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI love the Beatrix Potter characters and this is a lovely page that you have made for AJJ's challenge this month. Such sweet bunnies and a gorgeous background for them to rest against.
ReplyDeleteAnimals are never easy to draw, I could not draw a horse as how I tried but you have made a good attempt. I love your lady with the purple flowing hair. But then I always love your portraits.
Have a good week.
Hus, Neet xx
