Hi Everybody!
Hope you are all doing well, I have been resting a lot and trying to recover after falling. Today is cold, rainy and grey outside, actually weather I like very much, but I have decided to give myself one more day at home before I go out again. As I write this it's Wednesday, and my lovely home help has just left. My home is spick and span, he works very well. And I thought it might be a good idea to write a couple of blogposts in advance instead of at the eleventh hour!
On Tuesday evening it got stormy, and then the rain poured down, and I sat in the corner of my balcony - to keep dry - and took photos. Some are very grainy, it got dark quickly, and I only had my phone to hand. I put my camera in a safe place - but where? And ideas where I might have put it?!
Lovely art.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
Thanks Dora, you, too!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you are feeling better. Love your beautiful art today, wow! Glad my little parcel arrived, have fun! Have a great day, take care and don't overdo things! Hugs from us all, Sarah xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, my new walking stick is at my side today, thanks so much! Hugs!
Winke Elke
Hi Valerie, glad you are feeling better from your fall, I love watching the rain come in we had a bit last week but we are headed back up to the high temps again-Love your faces in your art, and great memes too Hugs from the lake
DeleteThanks Elke, I wish I knew where I had put my camera! Dir einen schönen Tag, bleib warm! Hugs!
DeleteThanks Kathy, have a good day, hope you get more rain. We have had so much here, the dry earth can't absorb so much. Hugs!
DeleteGood to know you are well rested.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs. The face arts are awesome.
Thanks Ashok!
DeleteI am pressed for time today, Valerie, so instead of my usual lengthy fulminations about nothing I will simply send you hugs and kisses until the next time. David
ReplyDeleteHave a great day whatever you are up to, have fun, be good 😊😊 hugsxxxxx
DeleteI am looking for a cleaning lady. It must be lovely to have someone come in and help like that. Unfortunately, good, reliable help is not easy to find around here.
ReplyDeletelovely artwork and your photographs of the weather are so atmospheric. It's not dissimilar here today. Wet and Windy and getting Wilder. and I'm getting alliterative again. Lol. One of your funnies reminded me of a story I once read. The mother and father of the bride were divorced. The father had remarried a much younger woman. the mother of the bride, by chance, had bought the identical dress to. the second wife's. when this was discovered, she was encouraged to take the dress back and exchange it. However, she opted not to. No one could understand why. until the night before, when they were all attending the rehearsal dinner And the mother of the bride wore that. dress to the rehearsal dinner. Thereby leaving the second wife. No time at all. to exchange her dress and she would have to wear to the wedding. to the wedding the following day. Of course. I haven't told it as eloquently as it was originally written. But you get the gist and it had me howling with laughter.
Hi Deb! I got 'my man' through an agency which organised help and care for seniors and sick people. They send trained people, and are insured if anything gets broken etc. And my health insurance pays it for me, for which I am very thankful. I can imagine how you laughed over that story, really too funny! But I m sure such things happen! Hugs!
DeleteYou have so many sweet faces in this post. I like your wonderful collection of drawings. And that dog being licked by the cows looks like he is really enjoying himself. It's a happy post for certain. I'm glad you're taking it easy. And yesterday I was looking for a small set of stamps that I moved...where? I never found them, but it's so frustrating. Hope your camera shows up, and by tomorrow you are feeling better. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Erika, thanks so much. My did was always terrified of cows, I don't know why! I think putting things in a safe place really keeps them safe. I've got no plans for the weekend, so perhaps a bit of tidying and searching might be good! Have a great day, hugs!
DeleteLove all the faces and balcony pics-good to here you are feeling better and hope you find your camera-will be in the least likely place!
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Thanks Carol, I've already looked in my sock drawer, it wasn't there....hugs!
DeleteI'm pleased to hear you're resting up. Just got back to the hotel after our day out at a cave but you'll find out more when I get home and post some pics. I always love your artwork and the new ones are just as good. Loving the funnies, the one about the doors made me smile and the alpacas are so sweet. Take care and have a very happy creative week. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela, have fun! Hugs!
DeleteI keep my camera in the same drawer so I always know where to find it. Perhaps you tucked yours safely in a drawer somewhere too!? Those big dark clouds moved in quickly and I'd have gone inside quickly but it's nice to sit and enjoy watching nature up close! Fun things to see and chuckle over today - take care after your fall and be well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. I'm sure it's in a drawer, and I have so many of them.... It will turn up sooner or later, I hope! Hugs!
DeleteFun faces. Amazing photos of the storm from your balcony. Your camera is going to be in the last place you look. 😉😺
ReplyDeleteYou could be right there! At the weekend I will keep looking.
DeleteOh my goodness, I'm glad you are doing okay Valerie after falling, and glad you have a good home helper, that is what I used to do and I loved it, along with personal care..love your art faces and no idea where you could have put your camera, but at least you know it is safe, ha ha ha, take care dear..
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx
Thanks Chrissy, yes, it's safe - very safe. I could imagine you being a good home help, too, my young man is a lovely, hard- working soul! I go to my doctor again tomorrow, I hope she can do something to help with the pain. Hugs!
DeleteI'm glad you were able to give yourself another day.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are so atmospheric! I like the mood :)
Thanks, glad you like the photos. I love sitting on my balcony and taking pictures of my world!
DeleteLove the painting you don't know what possessed you to make. Her eyes! XOX
ReplyDeleteThanks Aimeslee. That face is scary! Hope all is well with you, for me this has been a hard week. Take care, hugs!
DeletePleased you are feeling better and have not injured yourself too much. Great art and love the photos and funnies. Take care, Wendy
ReplyDeleteThanks so much , Wendy, take care!
Delete...Valerie, your mix of faces and humor is helping to get my day off to a great start, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, have a wonderful day!
DeleteI love your balcony photos. They are stunning. I hope you find your camera soon. Mine is either strapped over my kitchen chair with my purse, or over the railing leading to my office.
ReplyDeleteI think some of your faces are absolutely fabulous. For the most part, they are beautiful. Loved the cute llamas and the back door! Relax and enjoy your weekend. Rest, catch your breath, and please don't fall.
Thanks Elizabeth! My balcony is wonderful spot for watching the sun, clouds and moon etc. Hugs!
DeleteI love those first two faces.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gene, I tried something different there! Hugs!
DeleteFun post. I laughed aloud when I saw that meme of the fat lady saying she was wearing the same dress. I like your paintings of that cat, fish, and cat owner. Very clever. And those beautiful ladies with big hair.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I loved that one with the fat lady in the same dress, too funny. We need to stay happy! Hugs!
DeleteLuv your different faces.
ReplyDeleteAnd luv the quote from Downton Abbey. Saw the whole series😊
Thanks for linking to Art For Fun Friday
Much🖤love
Thanks. Downton Abbey was a great series, and Maggie Smith was fantastic! Hugs!
DeleteFirst I have to tell you the dog getting all those licky kisses from the cows, it the spitting image of our last dog, Mya. She would react just like that too. I wish I had someone to come in and clean for me. That is a nice thing to have. I hope you are feeling better after the falls and will get out soon. But there is nothing wrong with resting. Wonderful photos, and funnies. I love all of your faces, I really do, but I am in love with the dog paintings. Made my day. Thank you for joining FFO and have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole. Yes it's nice to have a reliable home help but it is expensive! The dogs are my faves, too! Hugs.
DeleteAll your art faces are delightful as always -- and the first two look like Cirque du Soleil performers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra. Sometimes I enjoy letting go of reality and diving into fantasy. I have never seen cirque du Soleil although it was here sometimes. Have a great week. Hugs!
