Hi Everybody!
Today I have another journal page for my heavy metal challenge at AJJ.
The background was hand painted, the heart was cut from a rusty photo, and the embellishments are from Serif and were added digitally:
And I have more photos from Burg Linn.
After leaving the castle we walked through the village belonging to it:
We enjoyed the well kept allotments:
A riding stable:
A heavy metal fountain:
I love the old mill paddle-wheels:
Not a white unicorn but a beautiful, white horse!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
I do like your journal page :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your photographs especially the old mill paddle wheel and the white horse ... lovely.
Have a good Tuesday, it's turned very cold here in the UK with snow in some areas.
Brrr definitely soup weather!
All the best Jan

DeleteThat heart page is gorgeous Valerie. Using the rust image works perfect. It looks like metal. And thanks for bringing us on a warm weather photo walk back to Burg Linn. Nice weather will hopefully come back sooner rather than later. More snow here tomorrow and another very cold night. Take care. hugs-Erika

Danke, liebe Elke! Dir auch einen schoenen Tag, bleib gesund und warm!
DeleteI love your rusty heart. It's turned chilly here in Wales, though not as cold as elsewhere in the UK, but cold enough to wear gloves inside my cottage! Hope you are keeping warm, cosy, and safe! Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb! Very chilly and lots of snow and ice here, too! Keep warm, stay safe!
DeleteBeautiful heart;) very nice photos;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Martyna stay safe!
DeleteI can think of a few people in this world who have a rusty heart, Valerie, some of them perforated and barely functional! But we will not dwell on them. Let's just think of all the big-hearted folks who make life a daily pleasure. The pictures of the birds are quite wonderful and evoke images of pleasant spring days which are now not so far off. We are gripped by deep cold in much of Canada so thoughts of spring are probably on the minds of many. Yesterday in the west, the temperature was minus 41 degrees. Stay warm and stay safe. Hugs and kisses, David.
ReplyDeleteThanks David! My h is feeling rusty lately, and my brain even more so! Glad you like the birds, I think we are all longing for spring and warm days! I can't imagine that much cold, it's bad enough here with -10! Hugs to you both, stay safe!
DeleteLove that white horse. What a splendid beast!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was magnificent!
Deletei feel Valentine Day from those hearts:)

ReplyDeleteThanks Stacy, it was a beautiful place to visit!
DeleteAnother fab journal page. Love that heart and the background. Perfect words too. Super true. Without love in our hearts, a person is never really young no matter their age. They are ugly inside as well. Very thought-provoking, Valerie. Your art always makes me think.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. That old mill is fascinating. Beautiful place! Hugz
Thanks Nancy. Hate and bad feelings make us ill and ugly!
DeleteYour journal page is fabulous - love the background as much as the rusty heart! Brilliant photos - I need to catch up a bit I think - I was nurse to hubby yesterday after we got home! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris! Hubbies sometimes need TLC!

ReplyDeleteThanks, we need more love in the world!
