For Art Journal Journey, Susi's fun theme of collage with a twist,
I have another hybrid piece. The background is a gelli plate print I made back in September when Susi was visiting. I stamped the little boy in the rain (LaBlanche) with Archival black. I placed it digitally on a water coloured background, using a filter to pep up the edges, and added the embellishments. The poor child's face has been censored as faces are on the no-go list at AJJ this month!
We had 2 nice days with sunshine this week:
The farmers were making the most of the good weather and
harvesting root veggies, accompanied by
swarms of seagulls:

Another great page and a fun way to get around the face ban. I just made another page and there was a face on a postage stamp lol.

I am inspired. I have a stamp that has two girls on it under umbrellas. I don't think I've used it more than once, but I see the possibilities from your lovely AJJ entry.
ReplyDeleteSo what are the root veggies? Potatoes, sweet potatoes? I couldn't tell. And my heart skipped a beat when I saw that farmer on that cultivator. Dangerous in my opinion. Believe it or not, we have land gulls here, too. they also follow farmers harvesting wheat or maise.

I'm not sure what they are, they are cultivated for animal fodder. And those farmers really take risks, that's true!

Its a fabulous page Valerie, I think I may be borrowing your censored face idea sometime this month. Super autumn harvest photos, we have had hailstones today, so it looks like winter is on its way.
