Hi Everybody!
For Art Journal Journey, Indian summer, I have another hybrid/ mixed media piece. I used a painted, stamped and dripped background, and added the man as an image transfer with mod-podge. The bird on the branch is a photo, the other leaves and splatters were added digitally.
Some mornings were sunny:
Others misty:
The weather has been cold, but with a mix of clouds and sunshine:

ReplyDeleteYour weather has changed, but mine has been quite warm through today. The weather people are predicting a cool down tomorrow, so we may actually feel like autumn soon. I like the moodiness of your photos today. I hope you find the sunshine, too.

We've gotten cooler weather here too. The mornings have been quite chilly. Makes me even more want to stay in bed. Ha-ha. Loving your hybrid piece today. I love the layering effects you can get using the computer.This piece is a great example of that. Hope your week is going well. Hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteYour splatter technique looks so good on that autumn. But what really made me smile was when I continued reading and saw the first photo of the tree leaves against that sunset I though, "They look splattered! What a good idea!"(So I'm going to remember that, the next time I try to do a tree against a sunset!)

ReplyDeleteValerie, some of my favorites of your journal pages are the ones done in red/yellow/orange shades of color. You do marvelous art using these colors. Your photos are gorgeous and almost unreal as you would image in a photo shoot. The tones mother nature provided gave a sepia appearance. Truly marvelous photos.
