Today we are starting a new challenge at
Art Journal Journey
-Inspired by Autumn Colours-
I hope to see lots of you joining in, using the beautiful colours which autumn shows us. Susi Fröbelsternchen is our hostess this month.
I made an A3 mixed media page. The centre part is a hybrid page, using one of my old documents as background. I stenciled the TH clock and cogs, the butterfly on the right is a mod-podge transfer and the other elements were added digitally. I painted the edges of the paper in warm, Autumn colours and stenciled over it using various stencils with rusty hinge DI.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, Valerie. This is gorgeous, and so are is the photo collage you created. This is a great theme and I am sure you will get a lot of people who will join in. BTW, I love ALL your autumn inspired photos, not just the ones in the collage.

ReplyDeleteThe autumn palette is my favourite in most things from, painting to home decoration and gardens... it goes without saying, therefore, that I really loved this posting.
The juxtapositioning of summer butterflies and autumn leaves is nicely underlined with the timepiece and is cleverly done. Olé.
I am always happy when people can 'read' what I am trying to show!

Valerie, this is a perfect theme for you with the bright oranges and yellows of autumn. Your first page is marvelous and I love the time piece as the year is running out. The new photos from your walk are gorgeous. We have rain so the leaves sit on the ground waiting for a dry day for collection. We expect our first freeze this week and then all leaves will be on the ground. Enjoy your walks and do stop for coffee and enjoy the view.

ReplyDeleteThe art today is really beautiful. I may be a summer girl but the fall colors are my favorites. Our fall colors have been rather dull this year and that is disappointing Your photos are delightful . Of course it's a tie with the youngster and the heron as to which is my favor :)

And that autumn collage just takes my breath away it's so beautiful and inspiring. You have such wonderful vivid fall colors around you. It is nothing like that here - still 80 degrees!
