Hi everybody!
Where did the day go? I hardly managed to get anything done, and it's already almost time to go to bed! Does this happen to others, too?
Today I made a journal page for Art Journal Journey, living beings.
Some time back I made some large (8") tags with dragonflies, which I found yesterday when I was looking for Halloween die-cuts. I decided to use them to make a journal page. I glued the tags onto my page, and then stitched round it with zig-zag stitch. The machine even worked today, which is a wonder. I stamped more dragonflies round the edges, and then added some blue water-colour and stickles to their wings. Sorry about the poor quality of the photos, it got dark before I noticed. The flash has reflected on the stickles in the first one. The quote on the right tag is from Leonardo da Vinci. I am also linking to the

The moon was beautiful again last night, very fascinating. It glowed really orange.
Today I spent a long time just watching the water fowl and the horses, something I find very calming. Perhaps that's where so much time went?
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Hi Val, love what you have made today, and your stitching is really good. You will perhaps remember how good my sewing is? The dragonflies are beautiful, as are you photos. Take care, hugs, Sarah

DeleteExcellent page Valerie. - Jim

A lovely page Valerie, the dragonflies are beautiful. The moon was fabulous here too last night, the sky was so clear, you could really see the 'man in the moon' xx
ReplyDeleteWhat did he look like?
DeleteValerie, I adore your tags - the dragonfly stamps are amazing. Do you remember who the manufacturer is? - I would love to have these in my collection! I sympathise with your disappearing days - it's so easy to let the time fly by isn't it? I so love your photographs from your walks. Thanks for sharing. Jean.x
ReplyDeleteThese tags are beautiful and so well lay-outed on your journal pages.
ReplyDeleteThe serenity you were feeling during your shouting can be feel when we are gazing at.
Thank you for sharing Valérie! :)
yesterday flew by for me, as I was happily painting and gluing away. I've stolen your idea of taking blog readers for a walk on my post today. And the moon was lovely this morning too, as it glistened through the broken clouds. Have a lovely evening.
ReplyDeleteYour dragonfly tags made a beautiful journal page highlight. I love all of the dragonflies you added to the page and also the butterfly. Blue always works for me. Why is it that watching horses which are so large create a calming effect. I feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C

ReplyDeleteThat' a beautiful Halloween moon - if only we could save it until All Hallows Eve!
ReplyDeleteNow have you named that beautiful swan? Do you take him special treats? Does he have a partner.
