Hi Everybody!
Hope you are all doing well. Here it has got very cold - not my thing! A little bit of sun and warmth would be nice, but it's evidently not on the programme for the next couple of days! That makes it time for gloves, hats scarves and warm coats, and a hot water bottle at night!
I seem to have been in a blue mood as I have quite a few blue faces, I really do love blue:
These are some lovelies from David Zinn:
A good tip:
I love stores like this, so much more fun than shopping for groceries:
I am linking to Nicole's FFO and Gillena's AFFF
Have a great day, and a good weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Hi Val, another fun post and photos! How are you feeling? Sorry your flat is so cold, I hope you are well wrapped up! I had a lazy day today, which was very nice! Take care of yourself, hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, have a great weekend, hugs to all!
DeleteWhat a fun and wonderful post. Love the blues!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy, nice to see you again!
DeleteLove the blue faces and pavement art-I literally used my phone to take a label pic and enlarge it yesterday lol. Interesting chicken facts we have had a few chickens and ducks in our garden over the years-sadly the fox got the last ducks! Very miserable and cold here for the past week.
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Thanks Carol! Yes, phones can be very helpful! Foxes are everywhere, I saw one slinki ng through the field yesterday evening.
DeleteNot surprised you love blue they are bluetiful! Love the donkey and the kitty. Donkeys just love most things they have such a sweet face. Always intertesting facts and brilliant art work. Thanks Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteDonkeys are gorgeous, I love them, too!
DeleteYes, your art looks very cold!
ReplyDeleteYes, just like me! Hugs!
DeleteI love this blue face. Very beautiful. Thank you for joining FFO and have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole, you, too!
DeleteBeautiful blue faces Valerie, love the first one best, and I love the kitten with the donkey and the facts about the chickens is amazing..keep warm and safe..
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx
I didn't know those facts about c hickens, either, very interesting! Happy weekend! xx
DeleteI like your blue faces, and I always enjoy seeing David Zinns work.
ReplyDeleteGreat facts about the chicken.
We've had a lot of grey and gloomy days in my part of the UK this week and I am hoping for some sunshine over the weekend, but I'm not 100% sure we shall see any!
Take care, wrap-up well and keep warm.
All the best Jan

Here it's still gray in gray, too, and very cold! It can only get better! . I hope!
DeleteIt has been a tough few weeks. I needed this post today. Love your art work. Zinn is always entertaining. Love the cat with the cup of hot coffee/cocoa. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
Thanks Jim. Sorry you had such a tough time and hope that it will all get better! Hugs!
DeleteYour artwork is beautiful. I like the blue as well. The chicken facts is interesting and the phone use is hysterical... That's what I use it for - to see labels and enlarge.
ReplyDeleteYEs, we need our phones to read instructions, which seem to be printed smaller and smaller! Hugs!
DeleteYou find so many sketches by David Zinn!
ReplyDeleteYes, there are always a lot on FB!
DeleteI hope your blue mood extends only to your art! I love the images you shared, both your own and the fun work by others!
ReplyDeleteMy fingers and my art are blue, the rest is okay! Hugs!
DeleteYour post had me smiling-I love your faces and enjoyed your photos and memes Happy weekend hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteThanks, dear Kathy, have a great weekend! Hugs!
DeleteBeautiful Blue faces and blue certainly is appropriate, everything is tinged with blue in the cold weather. Or grey, there's a lot of grey about too. I treated myself to a plug in heated electric throw. It is divinely warm. We must hug our hot water bottles too! Deb
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about getting an electric blanket, perhaps I will now! Stay warm, hugs!
DeleteWarm wishes. Some fun thinkies. Luv the blue faces.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Art For Fun Friday
Much♡love
Thanks Gillena. I wish we had more warmth here!
Delete..."Go further than you planned. Ask for the moon. You will be surprised how often you get it!" Great advice, thanks Valerie. Take care and be well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, Sometimes we need to ask the universe for BIG favours!
DeleteBlue is my favorite color so I try not to use it for everything. Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteChickens are the closest relation to a T-Rex.....maybe that explains why they scare me.
Yes, chickens can be scary, the rooster at my aunt's always pecked and chased me and I was terrified!
DeleteMy favourite blue face is #2, although they are all lovely. Also had to laugh at the cute photo of the baby donkey and kitten, and the "shit you don't need" store! My smart phone has a powerful magnifier app on it, which is a godsend for reading labels at grocery and clothing stores, and menus at restaurants!
ReplyDeleteDo we all get shortsighted, or are the labels much smaller these days?! I love the idea of a 'shit you don't need' store, what fun. Dollar stores sometimes ave this attraction, too!
DeleteSo many happy and interesting things in this post Valerie. I love all your faces; blue is great color for right now I think. and ooo that kitty and donkey face as well as the dogs peering around the door for cake. That's just what they do, isn't it? :) And who knew that about chickens. I wonder how they learned some of that; like them seeing more colors than we do. I hope you have a super and not too cold weekend ahead. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. I suppose someone must have interviewed those chickens to find out all those pieces of wisdom! Yes, the kitty and donkey are both sweet, I love donkeys. And my dogs always stuck their noses round the dooe like that, especially when something was cooking! Have a great weekend, hugs!
DeleteI love your blue ladies. Blue is my happy color. They forgot one fact about the chickens. They also taste delicious. 😺Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour comment about chickens is so true, and my favourite! Happy weekend!
DeleteI love blue, all shades of it. The color of the sky, the sea, and someone's blue eyes. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, blue is really a wonderful colour. Have a great weekend, hope David is doing better now. Hugs!
DeleteWunderbare blauengestaltene Gesichter , es hat was mystisches -toll!

ReplyDeleteThanks. Stores like that must be fun to look around!
DeleteWow Valerie, your blue faces are amazing! I always love to see the pavement art, he is SO clever! Chickens are amazing aren't they, fancy them being related to the T-Rex! Take care and have a great week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteSo next time you eat chicken remember it.....
DeleteWonderful post! I love your art-blue is my fav too. Hope your cold weather goes soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra. It's unusual here to get a cold spell so early in winter, today at least the sun is shining!
