Hi Everybody!
Hope you all had a great weekend. I'm glad to say that I had a restful one, and spent my time reading, painting and sleeping, yes! And on Saturday I was out with Heike, we got some shopping and went for coffee, yummy. And they gave us samples of their delicious poppy seed cake, yessssssssss!
First off I have a spring tag for my seasons challenge at Tag Tuesday, which runs for another week:
And today I am sharing a journal page, it seems to be about dreams....
I may have shown this one already, but it's one of my faves:
And as always some funnies, thinkies and photos:
Some of my balcony visitors:
A fisher at work - the heron is so good at catching fish:
This blackbird - I call him Jack - comes ever day:
And last but not least, some Canada Geesefor dear David:
I have had to find devious ways to upload my photos as Blogger is not uploading them automatically any more, I hope this hitch soon gets fixed.
Have a great, new, week, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by
Lovely art Valerie, thanks for the photos and thinkies. Hope blogger smartens up soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I hope so, too!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Is your cold and sore throat getting better? If not, STAY HOME PLEASE! Here all is quiet, I need to do a bit of work and then this afternoon the kids are all coming, lovely! Have a great day, take care, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah, it's still bad so I'm having another home day. I did a test and it was negative. Have fun with the family, give them all my love! Hugs!
DeleteNot only do I appreciate those CANADA Geese, Valerie, inasmuch as they are the lords of the water, the masters of the rapids, the conquerors of the foam and froth, the nibblers of the grass, the fertilizers of the world, I am equally thrilled to see the fine parade of visitors to your balcony. You have exquisite friends, I see ( and I don’t just mean Heike). The birds too obviously have refined taste in humans, although I have to confess the fact that you set food out for them may influence their decision! It is really good to get the impression that you are back to at least a semblance of your normal self and getting out and about with Heike must add to your elation - to say nothing of free poppy seed cake. The only thing that I get for free is advice which I don’t need and don’t listen to. I hope that today is sunny and bright and that you are able to sally forth again. With love and hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThanks David, nice to have you visiting here again. You forgot to mention how the Canada Geese fertilize our fields with their huge amounts of droppings! I have changed the bird food now it's so cold here and they have only the best with fat and seeds galore, so I think they are happy. I have a bad sore throat and a runny nose, so I will be stopping home today and not meeting up with anyone, as I don't want to give them my germs!
DeleteYes, free advice is always abundant but not always wanted, and often falls on deaf ears....go to see lots of birds and insects. Hugs xxxxxxxx
Have a great, new week, have fun, be your usual happy self and
The last sentence changed itself round, it should have been between ears and go!

DeleteHi Valerie, I hope this message finds you feeling better. (I have had a nasty, lingering cold, too and have tested at least 4 times and it's not Covid! I think I am finally turning the corner after about 2 weeks.) I always look forward to seeing your art - your tag is gorgeous and your art journal pages are so creative and beautiful!! And of course, I really love your photos! I like your balcony visitors, the beautiful heron, and Jack - they are all amazing. I especially like the funnies!! Thanks so much for sharing everything. Take care, Valerie. Hugs, Sharon
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. Glad your cold has almost gone, colds are nasty. I hope I can stay out of hospital in the next weeks and months, it's so much nicer being home. I love my bird visitors, always so cheerful and hopeful I will put out more food for them. Some are almost tame. Have a great week, hugs!
DeleteFabulous as always Valerie, pleased to read you are managing to get out and about. Take care. xx

ReplyDeleteThanks Pinky. I hate staying home, but was out with a friend today, so nice! Yes, onwards and upwards!
DeleteSuch a pretty tag which is just what I needed this morning to brighten my day. I love the dream sequence, the figures are just floating around as one would imagine them doing and the flowers at the base look really good.

Hugs, Neet xx
