Thursday / Friday Post

Hi Everybody!

Another week is flying by and I never seem to get enough done - same old story every time!
Today I have some faces to share from 2018, using ideas from a book from Jane Davenport:

And some thinkies / funnies / photos and art from David Zinn:

Photos from National Geographic:

These were taken on Wednesday between 5 and 6 a.m. as I was watching the sunrise:

I will be linking to Nicole's FFO and Gillena's AFFF

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. I know what you mean by the week flying by and never getting everything done. That hummingbird sharing a drink with the bees is amazing. My bees get drinks at my bird feeder, and it is fascinating. It's great to see all your faces too. I remember most of them, and it is fun to see them again. Have a super end of the week. hugs-Erika

  5. Loving the flash back to Jane Davenport works of Art, the pencil and a dream is a great quote. I too have seen Bee's drinking from my bird bath, I have a pebble ramp so they can get in and out of it easily. Really lovely to see a photo up close, amazing.
Sorry I haven'y been around for a week or two it's been a very draining week looking after Mom :((
Take care of yourself Hugs Tracey xx

  8. The weeks do fly by, Valerie, and despite our best attempts we are incapable of slowing them down. We have a hummingbird feeder in our yard and often the bird has to make quick dashes to get a sip of liquid and avoid the bees and wasps. We change the sugar water every couple of days and bring the feeder in to wash it thoroughly and the insects seem to be less of a problem that way. But it’s inevitable that a sugary liquid will attract them. Actually, I haven’t yet seen a hummingbird this year, although they have already returned. Yesterday we were out in the country and bought fresh asparagus at a farm and tonight we will make an Asian dish, simply called Asparagus Chicken, for dinner. It is very tasty indeed and we look forward to the asparagus crop each year so that we can have it. Today, I will be giving a presentation in urban birds in Cambridge, and I am looking forward to that. Stay well. Hugs and kisses - David
