Hi Everybody!
Today I have another piece for my geometric shapes challenge at AJJ. I used a piece of an old canvas as background, and added the moon, planets, and the sky disc of Nebra. Then I added the pyramid with the eye, and the Egyptian figures.
My geometric bed (Not made especially for my challenge!) :
Early morning:
And some thinkies / funnies:
Sorry, that's all for today, I am very sad because of the enormous escalation of terror in the Near East, I have family and friends in Israel.
Have a good, new week, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by.
Lovely page and fun thinkies. Prayers for Israel. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine.
DeleteThe Egyptian page is very cool. That page would look great in metal too. and I hope your friends and family are OK. It's such a scary time right now on so many levels. Happy new week. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks! The world is really scary just now, what will happen next!?
DeleteYes, the situation in Israel is very worrying, and I fear that the leadership there may be making some mistakes that jeopardize the well-being of the citizens.
ReplyDeleteThe government is not the best, that's true!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Love your new art, very well made indeed. Te situation in Israel is really very alarming, let's hope and pray that the situation can be resolved without more bloodshed. Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, hugs.
DeleteThe situation in Israel and Gaza is cause for great concern, Valerie, and world public opinion in general seems to have turned against Israel. I think that Mae is right; the leadership of the country is jeopardizing the safety of its citizens, and actions such as targeting the World Food Kitchen convoy do nothing to burnish the image of Israel. Even within my own family support for Israel is weaker than it was when Hamas invaded Israel in October. As for your family, I have had the impression that you are estranged from them. I recall you making comments on your birthday such as “Thankfully my family left me alone,” and other similar sentiments. But, I suppose that crisis erases such feelings - maybe. Take good care of Heike as much as she will let you. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThe present government is a catastrophe. I have avoided my family because of their very extreme religious ideas, and I have had enough of them trying to change me. But this doesn't mean I wish them anything bad. I am doing my best for Heike, she is a difficult patient! And I am not patient! Hugs, xxxxxxx
DeleteThank you for this beautiful post. Prayers for your relatives and the state of Israel. I am sad to hear Mae and David's comment about the decline in popularity and support for Israel . Honestly, I think if Israel were perfect in every way, Hamas will still want to eliminate the state of Israel and every Jew around the world. How do I know? Because "Hamas" clearly says so in all of their speeches !! Just like Hitler said so in all his speeches before the Holocaust.. Lack of support for Israel is sad. Very sad...Thanks for a beautiful post . Love your creative art, the 60's songs, and your sunrises. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWe must hope for the best, and that Israel will stay safe. Hamas are evil. Hugs and thanks for your support.
DeleteThanks Ivy!
ReplyDeleteI love your Egyptian piece. Pray for peace.
ReplyDeleteYes, we need to do that!
DeleteHi Val, you are right, the world is really scary! I can hardly bear to watch the news these days. Take care, hugs, Martha!
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha, I never thought that we would feel treatened by war, let's hope it will find a good solution.
DeleteIt's a very sad time right now and so many people are suffering for the wants of the few. One might expect that in this day and age people could discuss their problems in a sensible way and come to a reasonable conclusion for all involved but that seems too difficult. However, your art work brightens the day. Sending hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Angela. Hamas does not want a solution, they want to eradicate Israel. Sad, but that's the way it is!
DeletePrayers and hugs, Valerie, I'm sad too. XOX
ReplyDeleteThanks Aimeslee, take care!
DeleteI do like you Egyptian art, it's so colourful.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the 60's song titles :)
Prayers for peace.
All the best Jan

ReplyDeleteI don't know what happened here! Hugs
DeleteI really LOVE your Egyptian art. Of course anything with a cat is purrfect. It also goes well with your theme this month at AJJ. Love the song titles.
ReplyDeleteI am very worried about Israel. I fear after the attack by Iran, Netanyahu will retaliate by escalating rather than defusing the war. In my opinion, he needs to go and a different person with a cooler head should be instated.
Netanyahu is a catastrophe, he and his cronies are not the right ones in this difficult situation.
ReplyDeleteYour page is very striking, the more I looked at it the more I thought it should be hung in a gallery somewhere. Love the richness of colour.
ReplyDeleteI had to share the songs of the 60's - brilliantly done. Love your funnies and the bed coverings are striking.
So sorry to hear you have friends in Israel, so terrible what is going on.
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet , glad you like my Egyptian theme! Hugs!
